Should the Americans Drop the Atomic Bomb On Japan?

Americans planned to start an invasion of Japan. They knew that the Japanese would fight to the last man. They asked themselves how many American soldiers would be killed? Probably a million or two, and that would be a lot of men. Atomic bomb was the most destructive bomb even today. It was bigger and more deadly than any other bomb. There was a lot of argument about whether to use the atomic bomb. It would be too cold blooded to drop a bomb that would kill so many people.

The Americans wanted nothing than a full Japanese surrender. After the death of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, there was a new President and his name was Harry S. Truman. He felt that an atomic bomb could make the Japanese surrender. He felt that if America did not need to invade Japan, it would save many American lives.
