Discuss the ways in which the extract constructs the representation of sexuality using camera, editing, sound and mies-en-scene.
For camerawork, there is an extreme close up in the beginning of the scene with a flashback of Sugar and Kim kissing in a theme park ride, the extreme close up is used to represent something secret, emotional or very personal to Kim.
Also, there is a handful of voyeuristic close up and extreme close up shots in the extract, a good example would be in the pool table scene where the camera zooms into sugar's breasts from Kim's perspective, which is interesting because this would be the voyeuristic pleasures from a male perspective but in this scene it is from a female perspective which again represents the idea of sexuality.
For editing, there are contrasts of speed between shots throughout the whole extract. For example, in the opening scene where Kim is in her bedroom masturbating with an electric toothbrush, very fast editing from shot to shot is used to show the confusion that is going through Kim's head in that moment. However in the scene where her parents are watching the attractive mechanic fix the door it
