Intro to Grendel

BROADCASTER: This is Double J AM Radio-Broadcast bringing you the story about the beginning of the evil Grendel

(Intro music…..then fade)

GRENDEL TALKING TO HIMSELF (INTER-MONOLOGUE):

I am the monster, who will invade your dreams and take away your soul. (Emphasize on dreams and soul)

The creature of darkness and the overseer of hate………(Long drag on hate)

That corrupted creature creating catastrophes within a civl community.

I am that evil entity, who encroaches and eradicates everything exhibiting enjoyment. (Laughs)

Now, I am called by many names, but in the end I will ever be called Grendel……(Long drag on Grendel)

GRENDEL'S MOTHER: Of course you are all those things because you are a descendant of Cain and my son! Do not ever underestimate your potential and lineage. (Firm words)

GRENDEL: I know that our family represents evilness and wickedness, and that we are the banished ones of this horrid land.

GRENDEL'S MOTHER: Grendel, it is true that our kind is different and that we keep to ourselves, but know that we would have this land; however Hrothgar's throne is protected by God.

GRENDEL'S: I acknowledge the fact that our race should be the ones ruling. I want to tear part each person in this wretched land limb by limb. (Emphasis on limb by limb)

GRENDEL'S MOTHER: Now, just know that even though you don't control this kingdom with a throne, you are still so powerful that no one can defeat or tear you apart! What could possibly destroy you?

COMMERCIAL:

ADVERTISER: Do you like safety? Do you hate evil creatures? Well come on down to Lord Archibald's Defense Against the Darkness shop. Where you'll find a variety of swords, rocks, and shields ensuring your safety! If you don't believe me, ask them!

CUSTOMER 1: I bought a sword and it helped me slay a dragon attacking my shrubbery.

CUSTOMER 2: I used a bow and arrow and shield to kill a troll that crossed my path!

ADVERTISER: You see! Lord Archibald's Defense against the Darkness shop now gas a discounted price of only two pebbles! Come now!

(Music fades)

BYSTANDERS: TALKING ABOUT GRENDEL

BYSTANDER 1: We fear the one who is the descendant of Cain.

BYSTANDER 2: That creature represents horror and destruction.

BYSTANDER 1: Just mentioning the name Grendel haunts our soul.

BYSTANDER 2: Grendel deprives anyone of safe protection.

BYSTANDER 1: He is the monster of evilness and destroyer of happiness

BYSTANDER 2:I just worry for my children!

BYSTANDER 1: So do I!

BYSTANDER 2: I wonder what Hrothgar's men think about this creature?

(Grendel laughs)

GRENDEL: LISTENING TO THEM

Those outsiders of my kind think I am death, which is right.

The rings of their harps (harp sound) can not compare to the bolts of my lighting. (lighting can)

I will finish off the heads of Hrothgar's men in Herlot.

In the end, I will prevail being the one most feared upon this horrid land.

Now, I will find my way to Hrothgar's Mead Hall.

GRENDEL GOES TO THE HERLOT (Footsteps)

HROTHGAR'S MEN: SPEAK ABOUT GRENDEL

We should be aware that an darkness is out their…

I agree with you; however we should not worry the other people of this kingdom..

Exactly. For now I think we should toast in the joyous occasion within this Herlot!

Don't you think we have had enough for one night?

Ok, my dear warrior maybe we should call it a night. (Snores)

GRENDEL COMES TO THE HERLOT

You fools! You are all fools!

ATTACKING HROTHGAR'S MEN

(Loud shouts and noises)

HROTHGAR'S MEN:

Alas, my life has is changing, what other horror might come next?!

This will be my last dream…..(wailing)

My last words of poetry….

THE MEN ARE DEAD

GRENDEL: This will be a bloody mess to clean! Just wait till my mother hears about this! (Footsteps)

GRENDEL LEAVES

GRENDEL GOES AND TALKS TO HIS MOTHER

GRENDEL: Mother, you should proud to call me your son. I have kill Hrothgar's men!

GRENDEL'S MOTHER: You should be confident of your victories, but be aware of not having too much pride!

GRENDEL: They should beware my evils, my twelve year reign, just even looking at the sight of me! Truly I am the one who, rules this kingdom and Hrothgar can cry about his pathetic men in his bloody Mead Hall. From now on I will be referenced as the great hero of my descendants and the one who causes trouble for all.

(Lighting Can)
