My Fear of the Dark "Rubyn go get my purse out of the car please" mom says. It's a late autumn night in November as I walk to the car I feel as if someone or something is following me but who is it. Middle

It feels as if I'm being watched by someone or something. It feels like I am constantly in a panopticon (a type of prison where anybody can see you). I have no clue why I'm scared of the dark or where my fear originated. It seems as if my fear started when my family and I moved to Jacksonville from Alabama. When I was about 9 years old I was assigned the task of taking out the trash every Wednesday night. Conclusion

Another thing I do now is when I do have to do something outside after dark I try to do at as fast as I can although this helps sometimes I forget what I was supposed to do so I have to do it again. I think that my fear of the dark is diminishing slow but steady the older I get and It should be gone by the time I get out of high school but for now I'm still scared of the dark and I'm not afraid to admit it. I hope that I will one day get rid of this fear because I don't wont to live with this fear the rest of my life. ...read more.
