A sport like football would be a good activity because it is a very physical activity ,it will be good for them physically because they will be using their muscles and be making their heart work harder. It will be good for them socially as they will be communicating with people about passing the ball, it will also be good for them emotionally as they will be interacting with people that they might not be able to talk too normally. It will be good intellectually as they will need to learn the new rules for the games they are playing.

Making music is a great activity for early years because they will enjoy making loud noises and making music with each other. They will also enjoy the interaction with the other children and the adult who is there with them. It will be a good social activity and a good emotional activity as they will be playing with other children and having a lot of fun and feeling like they are getting along with everyone. They will be very social as you will need to tell them what they need to do and get them to sing as well. If I choose to do this activity I am going to get the children to get some instruments and make some music in groups.

Reading I think is a very good activity because they will be learning a lot when they are doing it. Reading is an intellectual activity and I think that I will choose to use this one in my work placement. They will enjoy reading the book with you and within a group, they could each take it in turns to read a page or even act out the book with pictures or masks they have made. Doing this will be a very good emotional activity and also a social activity, they will be playing with other children and enjoying themselves while learning. I think I will choose to use this activity because they will enjoy to read book and acting it out as well. It will also improve their intellectual ability as the will learn new words and they will also improve their physical ability as they will be running around.
