Task 1
My idea is to create a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, which could help me publicize Deal Academy for the Performing Arts (DAPA). I would like to spread information about the academy, so that I could possible interest some new people into joining. There are many enjoyable things to participate in, but not many people know about the group, as it is not widely advertised. I think that my idea is quite good, mainly because I am a member of DAPA, so it will be easy for me to collect information on the academy. I also know quite a lot about the teachers, so I could include writing and pictures of them. There will be enough to make a packed project about, as there are so many different classes to discuss – from adult tap to infant drama. I can also include information on past shows, as I have taken part in several.
Here are some ideas for the project:
- Teacher profiles – I could do separate pages for some of the teachers at DAPA. I could discuss what they teach, their experience and more.
- The classes available – I could give information on the different classes that can be taken. This would include teachers, what takes place and more.
- Past shows – I could talk about some of the different shows DAPA have taken part in. For example, several DAPA dancers (including myself) took part in a version of ‘Me and My Girl’.
- DAPA member profiles – I could write about some of the members at DAPA, who are talented and could attract new members.
- Information about DAPA – This kind of information would be for people who wanted to know more about DAPA. By this I mean phone numbers, costs and addresses, among other things.
