The telephone is used by the staff to help them communicate with people who they are applying for a job they might want to tell the person applying for the job when there appointment time is. Also if the staff is feeling sick or can’t make it to work they use a telephone to call in and tell the manager that they can’t make it. This is a very important form of communication for the business as it would be very long to use other ways, using a telephone is very quick and every business has a telephone. Customers: Customers also use telephone a lot as they might want to call in and ask the business whether there are any job vacancies, this saves the company money as they are not wasting money as they do not have to advertise as people are just calling in. In addition, customers might want to call in to ask the staff whether there is a specific product avaible for them to come and buy, this saves time for the customer as they do not have go all the way to the store and the product would not be there. Customers using telephones saves them time and is very helpful for finding a job and finding information. This is very useful as it saves the company a lot of time. It is very good for a business as they do everything that they need to do quickly. There is immediate feedback as you can contact many people in a short period of time. All companies have them and there is the ‘personal touch’ involved. Many people prefer using the telephone to other media, this is because you can hear the other person and it strikes up an intimacy that is not shared when communicating of email.Web PageCustomers: The web page is made for the customers as that is where some companies make most of there money, For example companies cannot be successful without there websites for example Amazon are a successful business who only operate on their web page. This is very good for the customers as they can buy products from the companies web page, this saves the customer time as they do not have to go to the store, and they can choose from a variety of products and brands. The webpage was made for the customer and it comes in hand when you have a busy schedule and you need to do some shopping. Staff: They staff are the ones who always keep the webpage updated as they might need to show new promotions for people to see while on their webpage. They have to make sure that they put on new products and new prices as customers might go elsewhere If the prices do not get any cheaper. Also the staff also have to update on there website

Furthermore, the staff might not be doing well and the manager could tell them to fix up and start dealing with customers, also if a thing needs doing the pager is very useful as it could be used to tell people instructions on what to do.Investor/Shareholders: They are very important in every business as they have to communicate with all the branches as they want to keep updated with the sales to see if they have made a big profit. A pager could be used by the shareholders to see whether a branch has sold a lot they could communicate with the staff using a pager. If there are also any emergency the pagers become very useful for example if the branch has burned down they could quickly get updated about what is going and they could keep updated with further information. Pagers have a longer battery life, larger coverage areas and better reception inside buildings and basements than cell phones. But most business does not want to waste money buying pagers for every staff as it would cost them a lot. Also it is very unnecessary for staff member to have pager as they can contact people using a phone.FaxStaff: Fax is used by staff to send important documents to other branches and they use fax to send information to shareholders/investors. The staff might want to send a document with all the calculations of the profit and the money made by the company to the shareholder. Also they could fax important letters to other stores as a store might need staff so they could send out a letter by fax to other stores asking for spare staff. Investor/Shareholder: Shareholders might use fax to send the staff in the business messages about the profit and might want to send an important message as they could be elsewhere. If the company is selling a lot but the books of the sales shows a loss which means someone is stealing money so the shareholders would fax the managers the message telling them to find the culprit.Just like email it is very quick to use and the Speed of a transmission is very quick. When sending a fax you can transmit text, number, graphics, artwork and photographs all on one side of A4. This is very useful for the company as they do not have to send letter would take long as the post office could be on strike, also it could be confidential. Walky talkiesStaff: Walky Talkies are mainly used by staff of the business as they might need assistance in the store they could just simply tell other staff member what to do. It is mainly used by security as they could be calling for backup if there is a problem in the store E.g if there are thief’s in the store. It is important that they staff members keep in contact. As they might need something doing so they can easily tell members of staff. Most businesses have walky talkies.It is suitable for some jobs in a business but it is not good for most roles in a business as a sales assistant would not need a walky talkie, it would only be security and people like them who would need it.SMSStaff: SMS is a text message used by the staff to help them communicate with other staff members as they do not have to waste money calling. When a staff member goes on a break for to long and the manager want to get in contact with him he can send a text message as the staff would defiantly get it, but if you call there might be no reception. Also the staff could use it if they do not have enough credit to call, as they might not be able to make it to work so they could send a message to the manager telling the to call back or telling them why they cannot make it to work. Unlike an e-mail, a text message is much more like to be read by a person at any one time and so it ism more personal. A text message is far cheaper than a phone call yet in most inst instances you will it cans send as much information as you would have if you had called. It is not necessarily used in a business as it is a waste of time and the company would rather use a telephone. Video conferencing/ webcamStaff: the staff might use it to put videos and pictures online for customers to view. The customer might want to see a video of the product they are going to buy as they might want to see the size or the colour. This is a very easy process for the staff as it is very quick and simple to do. The staff could also use it to talk with shareholders who are not in the country, they can talk through a web cam about profit and problems in the business.This is very suitable for the business as it saves them money as they do not have to pay for top quality camera men to take videos of products. It is expensive to buy a Web cam so the company would not wan to waste too much money on web cams, as they are not really necessary for the business as they would not be used a lot. Also the letter from the customer could be a complaint about an event that occurred.This is very similar to email but it takes much longer to send things. It also cost a lot depending on how fast you want it to be sent. But letters are a very good and formal way of communicating and it is good for important messages and business related messages.Face to FaceCustomers: When a customer wants to buy something but does not no know what to buy it is better that the customer goes face to face with the staff as he can get a more advanced explanation about products, which makes them more certain about what they want to get.Staff: Face to face saves time for the staff as the do not have to waste time being on a phone for example. As they can understand the customers needs more but if the are on the phone, the person they are talking to might not have fluent English so t would be hard to attend to their needs.Most companies must know how to face customers face to face especially companies that sell products. When being trained as staff they are taught on how to deal with customers face to face. This is a very important non electronic method.Sign languageCustomers: Customers who are deaf might not have a chance to talk on the phone so they have to go to the store and communicate with someone who work in the store using sign language this would help the customer as they would want to come back knowing they can defiantly get help.Staff: When looking for the staff the company might find someone who has a special ability of sign language, this would be a very big boost. So when customers who are deaf use sign language the company has someone who can attend to them.This is very hard to find in most business as there are not a lot of deaf people so there would not be a lot of people to help them.MemoStaff: A memo is a quick way of communicating through a brief message. If someone is no where to be seen they would be given a memo by the person looking for them. For example if a manager wanted a discussion with a member of staff they might leave a memo on the persons locker telling them to come to the managers office.A memo is a very good quick way to communicate with people, but it is not very good as people might not see the memo and it does not give out enough information.InvoiceStaff: An invoice or is a used by a seller to a buyer, indicating the products, quantities and agreed prices for products or services with which the seller has already provided the buyer with. The staff always need to see the invoice as it tell them how much of a product they have,m so they can know whether toorder more as the products might get sold out.Invoices is a safe way of having a receipt a s it tells you how much of a product you have, so if the suppliers bring a shortage of products in which they should have bring ed. Therefore it is good back up evidence incase anything goes wrong.
