Introduction

Arian Razzaghi English A Professor Sandoval 7/25/05 The Human Society Over 150,000 years have past since the first human being was alive. He lived in Africa, and is said to be our common ancestor. Therefore, he is the one who gave us all our genes, and is the person from whom we evolved. Since then, the human race has had a significant growth in population, thinking abilities and social interactions. The qualities and new abilities that the human race has acquired is something that no other animal kingdom or a living thing has surpassed. The human race is a divine civilization that should be admired because we are groups of individuals who use our brains to create new technology, carefully produce medicines that prevent illnesses, and have created surgical procedures that cure diseases. From the beginning, the human race has been able to produce a great amount of technology that has deeply affected our existence. ...read more.

Genetic engineering has enhanced food crops by making them immune to worms that may feed on a vegetable. Another attribute that genetic engineering has, is that without it, we would not produce insulin for diabetics. Insulin production is a precise procedure and we are able to make it happen because of genetic engineering. With our intellect, we have created vaccines, antibiotics, and drugs that have helped us survive and prevent illnesses. Using all the technology that we humans have accumulated over the years many scientists have created vaccines. Vaccines are made with weakened or dead microbes that cause the disease; these inoculators stimulate the immune system to produce proteins that will fight off the disease. Therefore, with this medicine, anytime a virus or disease is contagious a vaccine can be injected into a person to prevent harmful diseases. An antibiotic is another type of medicine that is used to prevent diseases, and deaths. ...read more.

Conclusion

Therefore, the tumor that is attached to the tissue must be removed manually through surgery. When the tumor has been removed, usually the patient is healthy. Surgery has also been used to cure birth defects, and for transplanting new hearts to humans. The surgery process is precise, and when the surgeons deal with the human heart, the surgery will take weeks to be performed on the patient. What is definitely astounding is the process in which the heart is manually transplanted into the patient that needs the heart. In the human body, if the heart is impaired or not functional we would eventually die. Therefore, the greatness of heart surgery is that we are helping humans survive. Having a brain and many qualities that we ourselves have no explanation too, has helped the human race become the most dominant. We humans are intellectuals that should be proud of the attributes that were passed on from generations to generations. Therefore, the human race should keep on improving on what we now have, because if we keep on being pessimistic, we will never be optimistic. ...read more.

This would allow for rich people to make themselves and their children (NOT in a genetically way) smarter which would lead to the increasing of the poverty divide. However there are some benefits to be had socially for people if these 'smart' drugs were to be widely available.

wait and it repeat again, they are learning to communicate through sounds. The second stage is called First Words and happens at the age of 1-2 years. 1. Can relapse in acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) be prevented?

For example, the t(9;22) BCR-ABL translocation may happen over a large length of the chromosome, making DNA based testing difficult. RNA is a much less stable target and requires careful handling and processing. > Patient specific testing: Uses immunoglobulin (IG)

  2. Oncogenes are genes that cause cancer.

The reproduction of viruses mimics the processes by which cells grow and divide, but the simplicity of viruses makes them much easier than cells to study and understand. In cells DNA is transcribed into a strand of messenger RNA and the RNA is translated into protein.
