Introduction

Romeo and Juliet "Romeo and Juliet" is a famous play written by William Shakespeare. It's about love between two teenagers and it shows the changes in Juliet. It shows her change in character and the change in her relationships with her parents, the nurse and Romeo. In the beginning of the story, Juliet is innocent, they keep saying how old she is and she listens to what her mum tells her, she agrees to marry Paris. She says that marriage would be an honour, "It is an honour that I dream not of."In act 1 scene 3, Juliet doesn't say a lot and is very quiet. When she meets Romeo she's a completely different person, she keeps kissing him. Although Juliet is quiet and innocent to begin with we find out she isn't shy because she kisses Romeo twice. ...read more.

Middle

In act 2 scene 2, Juliet tells Romeo how she feels and she really opens up to him and expresses herself to him. In act 3 scene 5, Juliet's father reacts badly to her refusing the arranged marriage, Juliet is looking for sympathy and is trying to explain herself but even the nurse takes side with her parents. In these two parts of the play you can really see how she feels for Romeo because she opens up and explains her feelings. Even though her family are against her feelings for Romeo but she doesn't try to hide it or just go a long with what her parents think, this shows that her feelings for Romeo are true. Act 3 scene 5 Juliet would feel very lonely and would feel like she has done something wrong by falling for Romeo because her mother, father and nurse are all against her. ...read more.

Conclusion

She has to show the change in her emotions and how she changes towards her family. In the play you can see the changes in Juliet in different ways, her emotions, character and her relationships. The changes would be hard to act because of her emotions being so over the top and how she instantly feels strongly towards Romeo. Juliet has to show this passion for Romeo which would be difficult to act. She has to have two completely different personalities in the play, from being innocent and going with whatever her parents tell her to being madly in love with Romeo and that's all she ends up really caring about. Juliet falls in love with someone who is suppose to be her enemy, she falls in love with him before she finds this out and then it's too late because her feelings for him are so strong and she goes against her parents because she loves him so much. ...read more.
