Setting my digital CD alarm clock- I can set my alarm clock to and time I want and I am quite a heavy sleeper so I can alter the volume I can set it so it ether beeps, plays the radio, or plays a CD.
Using the card cash machine- I use the cash machine to draw money out or to check how much money I have. The advantage of this is that I can draw money out any where in the world without having to go to my bank. Also it is safer because only I know my pin number.
Using soft where on a PC- there is different software on computer to meet with different needs such as if I wanted to type some school work up in neat I would use Microsoft word. If I wanted to make a database I would I would use Microsoft Access. This meets my needs due to the way it keeps everything neat and in order and is a lot easier than writing it by hand and it looks a lot better. It would be better if I had the latest features as I have windows 98 and I like the format and layout of windows XP.
Playing games on my ps2- I like my ps2 because it has good graphics the games appeal to me and it is good because I can save my games no matter where I am up to.
I have got a range of different accessories for it such as an eye toy and a gun.
Using the DVD player- I use my DVD player when I am board so I can go watch a film or if I need to record something. I can set my DVD player to start recording a program when I am not there and it records straight on to DVD.
My DVD player
Using the DVD player- I use my Sony DVD player when I am board so I can go watch a film or if I need to record something. I can set my DVD player to start recording a program when I am not there and it records straight on to DVD. It looks very stylish and modern it has lots of features such as Dolby surround sound, subwoofer, bass level, different settings so it can be used for radio, TV, DVD, CD, video and mp3 player. I can set my DVD player up to the best quality depending on the size of the room and the seat position.
My mp3 player
My mp3 player is made by creative and can hold 500 songs as it is a 3 gigabyte and has lots of features such as an fm radio and voice recorder it a shock proof cover for protection, I have dropped it several times and it still has not broken. It is very handy for when I travel as keeps me from suffering with travel sickness.
My mobile phone
My mobile phone is very useful as I can ring people, text people, email people and video call. It comes in handy it’s like having a computer with you all the time and because it is on contract it only cost me £9.99 a month because I get 500 free minuets and 1000 free texts. The widescreen format makes this mobile stand out from the pack, but it's not just for show. After all, it works for computers, TVs and cameras - so why not mobile phones? Touch screen does away with the standard keypad, leaving plenty of room for a proper web browser, calendar, document viewer, Bluetooth and email. This is a good source of communication as it is cheaper than a phone box and free on weekends. I also ring a lot of house phones this also means I have cheap calls. A mobile phone meets my needs superbly and is a lot better than house phones or a phone box.
Computer
I use my computer to copy thing up in neat for example my school work and also to improve my ICT skills. It also makes doing presentations easier and making databases. All these skills are good to learn as it could give me a better opportunity to get the job I want. Alternatives to using computers are typewriters and by hand using a pen I have used all 3 of these and the computer meets my needs by far.
Email
Using email is the best way to take school work home because it won’t get lost, screwed up or ripped. I will log on to my emails send it to my email or to a friends email and I can access it any where in the world. This meets my needs very well as I have taken work home before and it got lost or ripped and I had to do it again.
Conclusion
After analysing the ICT I use I think I use ICT efficiently and I would only change one thing and that would be how to type faster.
