The database I will set up will be used for a number of purpose and used mainly for queries, which are questions that the user asks of the database. Some examples of queries that will be asked include:
-
How many visits took place to 5 Aston avenue on may 5th 2000? This problem could be rectified easily by using my database and going to queries, then the user could type in the necessary information example; Like 5 and Like Ashton avenue etc.
- What houses has Fred Bradley visited? Again this problem could easily be solved using my database and going to query wizard filling in the necessary information.
For the first query above the information entered will look something like this
My data will be outputted in a number of ways the information will be mainly all screen based and only needed for extensions onto other documents. Such as letters to certain address or new houses on the market that should be told to customers. This is a rough design of what my data will look like and also a design of the query wizard that will be mainly used.
I will be able to perform a number of tests on my data, which will make it easily adjustable and perfect for business use.
On all documents that are able to be constructed using information from my database the user will be able to perform tests such as spelling and grammar checks which will make the document read-perfect and professional.
My input masks will also validate the information being put into my database making sure that only correct information is entered. Below is tests that I can perform on each field in each database to test this:

In order to save my work I will need to use file formats the file formats I will use in my work will be .doc in word and .mdb in access.
A file format is the way in which information is stored in a file so that a program can open and save the file. A file's format is indicated by a three-letter extension after the file name. For example, when you save a new document in Microsoft Word 2000, Word by default stores it in Word 2000 format with a .doc file extension. If you want to convert a document to a different format so that you or someone else can open it in another program or in an earlier version of Word, you can select that file format when you save the document this is the same principle as for access except using the different unique file format of .mdb.
All my files will be double backed up onto two master discs and be kept safely with other important files they will be updated regularly making sure to include all necessary information.
All data will be kept on each of Elite the real estate's company computers for access by all employee's at any time when required. If a fault does occur in the system the master discs should be bought into availability to re-boot the system.
