One way of doing this is to enforce different rules and regulation followed along with corresponding sanctions, in order to achieve what works best for business. Van der Smissen (1990) submits that if rules and regulations are established but not communicated, it is as if they do not exist; or if they are established and communicated but not enforced, it is as if there were no rules and regulations. One component cannot exist independently of the other two. Another quite different approach might be to improve the overall satisfaction by creating a more pleasant work environment in which people enjoy learning and working together for the betterment of the company.
Some problems I believe I may face in attempting to maximize the general good, I will at some point, need to decide whether my goal is to improve the total benefit to my company as a whole or the total benefit per person within the company. This will allow me to have a direct impact on my approach to making very important business decisions.
As stated in Kudler Fine Foods mission “Kudler Fine Food is committed to providing our customers with the finest selection of the very best foods and wines so that your culinary visions can come true.” In Kudler’s Fine food vision it is stated that “Kudler Fine Food will be the premiere gourmet grocery store for those savvy shoppers who are searching for the finest meats, produce, cheeses, and wine.”
When exploring Kudler Fine food mission statement and vision I see a great deal of familiar values between Kudler Fine Food and my own personal values. Our values are very similar when in regard to having the best products of its kind, and wanting what is best for the company. In this case what is best for the company is having very satisfied customers. I believe in satisfying customer at any means necessary. The only difference in Kudler Fine Food values and my own personal values is, I believe in having the very best customers service which will provide the greatest good for the greatest number of people or in this case customers. So when putting Kudler fine food values and my own personal values together this company will be transformed into an amazing business with wonderful customer service and top of the line products.
As acting manager of Kudlers Fine food I would start by hiring result oriented employees, working to provide the greatest good in all aspects of the business. This will allow me to build the business from within to provide the best customer service and produce the best products. I will set up a management team which will build relationship with the finest organic farmers. This will allow us to purschase organic products more frequently and possibly locally. Once the business begin to bring in the best of the best products the team can focus upon keeping the products fresh on a daily basis, and at no means selling products which are not fresh. With this method this will allow us to improve our customer satisfaction by 100%. Kudler Fine foods will provide the best of the best organic foods, freshest produce, and the best customer service daily. So at the end of the day hiring these result-oriented employees which will be able to build immense relationship with the organic farms which will allow the business to bring in the best of the best will allow the business the keep cost down and increase the business revenue. As Manager by enforce these minor changes the company will be providing the greatest good for the greatest among of customers.
