This source may be biased towards not using the bomb as he was Japanese eyewitness who may not be in support the bomb because he was effected by it and that his country was hurt by it an as they were with war against America and so would not support the bomb.
This source is also not in support because he is Japanese citizen so would not like anything America does because they were at war with them at that time and fro what they had done and as he was effected this source may be biased as he was Japanese and so would be against America and so believes they shouldn’t have used nuclear weapons.
Source C is a magazine article from a stop using nuclear weapons campaign and is support of not using nuclear weapons as it is a cause to help prevent the use of nuclear weapons and so would be against any use by any country of using nuclear weapons and so would be against America using nuclear weapons.
They are also against using nuclear weapons because it says the Japanese were about to surrender to the Russians which shows if they were about to surrender there was no need to bomb Japan with the nuclear bombs as they were on the verge of surrender so this shows us that the bomb was not right to use as it says Japan was ready to surrender against Japan and so it does not support America using the bomb.
Source D is from the memoirs of Truman, president at this time when the bomb was used and was his personal responsibility that the bomb was dropped. He is in support of dropping the bomb because he was the American president and said he wanted to drop the bomb on military targets so no more American troops would die and so dropping the bomb was a quick way of ending the war.
He would also be in support of dropping the bomb because he was the one who dropped the bomb and so he would believe dropping the bomb was the right thing to do as it was his decision to do so.
He would also be for dropping the bomb because he was an American and would be for dropping the bomb as to end the war quickly as he was biased in dropping the bomb.
Source E was written by Vadim Nekrasiv who was a soviet writer in 1984 at the time of the cold war he wrote this piece to criticise the Americans and there use of the atomic bomb on the Japanese and to make America look bad as to whom ever reads this piece.
He wrote to tell people that America had no reason to drop the atomic bomb as they knew that the Japanese were ready to surrender and they only used it to show of there power and to stop the Russians having influence over Japan. They only use the bomb to threaten Russia who was an equal power as they feared Russia.
So he would not be in support of dropping the bomb and also he wrote this at the time when there was high tension between America and Russia and so wrote this in a biased against America.
Source F is British cartoon by a British artist it says on the magazine they had to test the bomb even though the Japanese were going to surrender and so he would be against dropping the bomb because of what the picture says also he would be against the bomb because in his cartoon there are 2 Japanese children who look sad in front of a smouldering city which shows that he was against the bomb as he wanted to show a bad image of America and the nuclear bomb and the non needed nuclear strike and so would be against the bombing .
Source G is written by a Japanese war minister and says they could only survive 1 mainland attack before there food ran out and would have to give up and so there was no use in dropping the bomb also he was Japanese and would be biased as he would be against the Americans and so would be against the atom bomb.
Source I was from Admiral William Leeway chief of staff and he says that there was no need to use that barbaric weapon which shows he agrees with not dropping the bomb also he says that 2 targets Nagasaki and Hiroshima were useless targets and there was no need in hitting these with the bomb also he says that the effective sea blockade was making them surrender so there was no need to drop the bomb.
In my own research I found that from a source written by the ambassador of Japan at the time was sent to Russia says that were ready to make peace and the Americans were notified of this and so there attack was just to test the bomb and there was no need of such a cowards attack and so this means there was no need in dropping the and he was against it also he was Japanese so would be biased against America and including the bomb.
Another source I found was one by a American tactician who said it was wrong to drop the bomb as the tactics which they were using at the time were sure to lead to surrender the American president knew of this knowledge and still dropped the bomb this shows that he was against the dropping of the bomb .
In conclusion Source A is in support of not suing the bomb as it shows a high impact area of damage to show people that damage of what the bomb can do.
Source B is in support of not using the bomb because he was eye witness who saw horrific damage caused by the bomb and how people were effected by the use of the bomb and anything that can cause that much damage is very bad and should not be used .
Source C is in support of not suing the bomb and shows it was not right to use it because it was in support of not using nuclear weapons in the world it also states that Japan was not surrendering.
Source D is for dropping the bomb because this was the American president who authorised dropping the bomb and would believe it was right to do so also the American president would be biased in dropping the bomb as he was American so would agree with dropping the bomb because he wanted to win the war fast.
Source E is in support of not dropping the bomb because it was at time of high tension between America and Russia and so would agree with not dropping the bomb also he says Japan was ready to surrender and so would be against dropping the bomb
Source F would be against the bombing and so would not support the bomb because he shows a very negative picture of sad children in front of ruined city which is a negative image of the bomb it also says Japan were ready to surrender and so they just wanted to show the destructive power of the bomb and there was no other legible reason for using it.
Source G would be in support of not using the bomb as he was Japanese and would be biased against using the bomb and says the Americans new they were surrendering but did drop the bomb.
Source I would be in support of not dropping the bomb because the Japanese were ready to surrender and the 2 target were non military targets.
My own research would be in support of not dropping the bomb as the Japanese were ready to surrender and so would be against the dropping the bomb.
It also would not be in support as the tactics would have made the Japanese surrender and the president knew this but still dropped the bomb and so was would be against the dropping of the bomb.
I believe after studying the source and my own knowledge and research I believe that most people believe dropping the bomb was wrong. I believe it was wrong because the Japanese were ready to surrender and the Americans knew this because e it was not a military target so there was no use in dropping the bomb the reasons why the Americans dropped the bomb is because to end the war fast and to not loose more life’s even though they knew of Japanese surrender.
