Development - A missing scene between the Bride, Leonardo and the Servant

Development Missing scene between Bride, Leonardo and Servant: Bride is sitting in front of a mirror plating her hair. Leonardo walks in. Leonardo: I need to talk to you. Bride ignores Leonardo. Leonardo: Please? Bride still ignores Leonardo. Leonardo: Come on, please talk to me. Touches Bride's cheek and hair and breaths in slowly. Bride shivers and leans against him. Leonardo and Bride move in sync with each other. First their hands meet, then they start to waltz to their words. Soft waltz. Leonardo: Remember the good old times? The laughing? Bride freezes and shoves Leonardo back. Bride: You broke my heart. Fierce waltz. Leonardo: The smell of your hair, the softness of your skin? Soft waltz. Bride: I... do. Servant storms into the room. Servant: What in Gods name are you doing? Get away from her you scavenger. Steps in between Leonardo and Bride. Servant and Bride step away from Leonardo. Servant: Don't touch her. Don't even look at her. Servant and Bride step in to Leonardo who also steps in. Leonardo: But why deny true love? Servant and Bride step away from Leonardo who steps in the other direction again. Development Phase - To Kill A Mockingbird

Unit 2 Task 2 The Development Phase To Kill a Mockingbird Extract: Pages 55 - 63 Use of The Voice. Mayella: Him. Don't want him doin' me like he done Papa, makin' him out left-handed. I think this line should be said as though Mayella is angry but also as though she is quite nervous. She is scared that Atticus may uncover more flaws in hers and Bobs Ewells story. The 'Him' on the script is written in italics, so I made sure I emphasised this word. It's emphasised because she is accusing Atticus and pointing him out directly as the thing she is scared of. Mayella: I said, come here boy, and bust up this chaffarobe for me, I gotta nickel for you. So he came in yard an' I went in the house to get him the nickel. An' 'fore I knew it, he was at me. He got me 'round the neck. I fought, but he hit me agin and agin. At the beginning of this speech Mayella would be slightly nervous, but speak quite confidently. When it comes to 'So he came in the yard..' She will begin to sound more upset and the pace of the speech slightly slower. And then at ' An' 'fore I knew it..' the pace of the speech picks up and her voice gets louder as Mayella gets even more upset but also slightly angered as she retells her story as convincingly as she can. The last sentence of the speech may also have some truth to it, and the upset and angered tone of her voice may show how she feels because 'I

Evaluative phase

Evaluative phase Context: we have studying domestic violence we hade three different stimulus a story called Silent Suffering Anna's story, a song called behind the wall by Tracy Chapman and the song Luka by Suzanna Vega both Anna's story and Luka are from the person who is being abused where as in Behind the Wall it is a neighbour who can hear all the violence and does not no what to do I think these stimulus where all very emotional but all in different ways. These texts all make me feel sympathetic and sad as they are all emotional texts but they all do this in different ways such as in Silent Suffering the text makes you as a reader feel sorry for Anna but you feel sorry for the children as well when there dad leaves because they don't understand why he is leavening. I don't just feel sorry for Anna because she is being hit I also feel sorry for this person because she is blamed for everything she is blamed for him leavening she is blamed for the beating she gets and I think she must also feel really old as well and worn down because she is being left for a younger women. Behind the Wall is different as it is not from the point of view from someone who is being abused it is from the point of someone who can hear the violence and this makes you feel for the characters because you can kind of feel their disperse of not knowing what to do Weather she calls the police or
