Macbeth Essay

Macbeth may actually have stabbed Duncan, but in my opinion he wasn’t solely responsible for the murder. I think that the witches and Lady Macbeth are also involved. The witches are evil characters who have the gift to see into the future. They have facial features that make them look like women but they also have beards that make them look masculine.

She also knows what she wants when she finds out that the witches told Macbeth he would be king she is also over powering because when Macbeth said he doesn’t want to do it she says he is a coward if he doesn’t kill Duncan. She uses blackmail because she is evil. Macbeth is also easily persuaded he can not think for himself. He doesn’t like to be called a coward. I think all three Characters were to blame because the witches first put the thought that Macbeth could become king in his head. When Lady Macbeth reads a letter from Macbeth about the witches proclaiming that Macbeth would become king she makes plans to kill Duncan. When Macbeth has second thoughts she persuades him to kill Duncan. Lady Macbeth was mainly the driving force in the murder of King Duncan. She came up with the plan and the persuasive words that got Macbeth to kill Duncan.
