My chosen physical activity is Athletics, I chose this activity as it is my strongest type of sport . Athletics does not need a particular number of players, It can be done alone, but if you want to compete such as in a relay race or even high jump then other players are needed. There are some rules and regulations for athletics that you will need to follow. It depends on which type of activity you are doing, for example if you decide to do a race then you must only start running when you hear the starting gun, if you run before this sound then it is called a false start, every time you false start you will all get a warning and after three warnings if anyone false starts they will be disqualified. Another example is when you do the long jump, if your foot goes over the white strip and into the red strip a red flag is waved, this means it is a foul jump and your distance will not be recorded. Finally in javelin if you are competing with other people then you must not go and collect your javelin until everybody has finished throwing for your safety.

Power - The ability to do strength performances quickly

Reaction time - The time between the presentation of a stimulus and the onset of movement

Speed - The rate at which an individual is able to perform a movement or cover a distance

Co-ordination - The ability to use two or more body parts at one time
