For my work experience I went to Beneficial Finance, This Company offers loans at a higher rate than normal banks so less fortunate people who are rejected a loan from their bank could go to Beneficial Finance.

        On the first day of work experience I woke up early to be sure I wouldn’t turn up late, I took a lot of time getting dressed to make sure I looked smart to give a good first impression towards the manager and the employees. I was rather impressed with my appearance when I set off on my first day to work experience. To get to my workplace I used public transport, only needing one journey as the workplace was only two to three mile away from my home. The placement was in the city centre therefore it was busy. On my way to the placement I were feeling more mature although I were a bit nervous.  I arrived in city centre thirty minutes before I started work so I went for a walk to calm my nerves. Time went really slow, but ten minutes before my work started I set on my way to the building.

        When I entered the workplace I were shocked on the size of the building, I thought it were going to be big but it were exceptionally small. With only five rooms, the reception, two offices, a storage room and a smoking room. The workers were a little confused at first so was I! They didn’t have in their records that I was having work experience at their company, gradually they worked the problem out and become kind and helpful. There was another pupil from a different school also doing work experience at Beneficial Finance. At first I were doing paper work, that was tiring and difficult, but as the days went by the work got easier and better. When I first arrived I thought this placement was going to be hard work although I did feel welcome I weren’t comfortable with the work been given to me. At lunchtime I were glad to be out of the workplace and have a rest.

        On a typical day at Beneficial Finance I did lots of work, in the morning I usually got into the workplace and made a drink for the employees. As the company were moving the location of the branch I did a lot of packing.
