This is an essay to show how films use different film noir techniques and features the films I will be looking at are “Blade Runner (USA 1982)”

and “The Matrix (USA 1999). Film Noir means “Black Film” It is a style of black and white films what first evolved in America at around 1940 and its classic period was from 1940 to 1960 these films were firstly made by French film directors after the war. Rachael is shown as a beautiful strong woman who can seduce the hero this is a feature of Film Noir.
