MSN Messenger was renamed to Windows Live Messenger in 2006 as part of Microsoft's Windows Live series of online services and software. The reason to being rebranded from MSN is Windows Live is the collective brand name for a group of Microsoft services which are currently under development.
Window Live Messenger now contain more feature than MSN Messenger because the Yahoo e-mail account user can also log in to Window Live Messenger, that make the user easy, because they don’t need to sign up 2 different account when they want to talk to their friend. In Window Live Messenger it has a feature called “Sharing Folder” which is when one user want to send file to other user, the "sharing folder" will window appears and the file will direct transfer to other user sharing folder. This means that the folder is literally "shared" between two computers. So if a user deletes a file, for example, the file will also be deleted from the corresponding computer's shared folder. This feature can let the file deliver to quickly than MSN Messenger and it was more safety.

Skype
Skype is freeware it was available free of charge and can be downloaded from the company website. It is a proprietary peer-to-peer Internet telephony (VoIP) network. This can let people make Skype-to-Skype call or Skype-to-Phone call through internet. When you first time using this software, you can get 5 min free call by using Skype to Phone. If you are over time, you will get charge per min. My friend has tried it, he use Skype to make a phone call to my house, and it is work. I can hear her voice so clearly and it doesn’t cost any for 5 min.
All Skype-to-Skype calls are free so people can use this software to make chat with their friend through internet. Skype is also supports group text chat with an interface similar to IRC (Internet Relay Chat) with 100 People. But before this, each Skype user must have the Skype software running on his/her computer otherwise it can’t work.
In 2006 the newer version of Skype only supports one-to-one video chat. They may support multiple point video conferencing in the future. Skype is the ability to send SMS messages to mobile phone numbers (a feature commonly used in other Instant messaging software such as ICQ, Yahoo Messenger and Windows Live Messenger) at a standard rate. Also, the mobile phoneSMS service is EUR€0.05 per message. So it basically is like a MSN Messenger but it just can feature to phoning people.
WebCam
Webcam is a real-time camera whose images can be accessed using the World Wide Web, instant messaging, or a PC video calling application. It can let people to taking picture or record a video and save as JPEG or MPEG files in computer. As webcam capabilities have been added to instant messaging text chat services such as Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger and Skype, one-to-one live video communication over the internet has now reached millions of mainstream PC users worldwide. Many people will use videoconferencing when they are taking to their friend because they can see what the people like when they chat to the people they don’t know or some people may use this to chat to their family which is in other country so this is so helpful to let them see how well is their family now. But the drawback of using webcam is the picture quiality is bad and it not that fast to transfer the picture of user to other and most the time we just see the slow motion of flame. I think to make it more popular, the webcam should improve the quality of picture and feature as lighting, real-time enhancements (retouching, wrinkle smoothing and vertical stretch).

Onlice conferencing is used to hold group meetings or live presentations over the Internet. But now the place which let people posted message for variety of discussion is called a Forum, Message Board, or BBS (bulletin board system).
RSS feed
RSS is a simple XML-based system that allows users to subscribe to their favorite websites eg newspaper, weblogs or other. RSS formats are specified in XML (a generic specification for data formats). RSS delivers its information as an XML file called an "RSS feed", "webfeed", "RSS stream", or "RSS channel". This software is available to renew the information which is post on that website and it can be standalone programs or extensions to web browser such as FireFox, Internet Explorer7+ and Mozilla Thunderbird. Without this RSS, people may need to land a certain website (eg.Yahoo or Google) to browse the all news which is renewing everyday. With this program, it can help people lot of time, because people can read the title of news to choose want news they might interest to read instead of visit each site individually. It solve a problem for people who regularly use the web and it allows people to easily stay informed by retrieving summaries of the latest content from the sites. Most website especially like news is providing RSS feed, so people only need to download and install the RSS reader to computer, then add the news RSS feed that they interested to their list. Then people can access it from mobile phone or PDA in everywhere. I have tried it on FireFox web browser before and I find that is very useful for people who are reading news on internet, because it will keep update the file, so it can let me know the new summary coming out.
Last year that is about 6% of population is using RSS feed, but there is 87% try to influence people using RSS feed. Eg. IT teacher might want to keep in touch in new IT technology which is come out, but they don’t have much time to spend on surfing internet, so RSS can help them to collect every summary of latest content.
Newsgroups
A newsgroup is a repository usually within the Usenet system, for messages posted from many users at different locations. The term is somewhat confusing, because it is usually a discussion group. Newsgroups are technically distinct from, but functionally similar to, discussion forums on the World Wide Web.
All the news is split into different layer of Usenet, the reason to put the related news together is set it to become easier from the theories.

Web 2.0 is a phrase coined by O'Reilly Media in 2004, refers to a supposed second-generation of Internet-based services — such as social networking sites, wikis and communication tools which is let people collaborate and share information online in previously unavailable ways. Web 2.0 is the technical term of a freshman, its application can let person understanding world-wide-web currently a kind of change that is under way from a series of website to provide a service terrace of the network application to customer. Many people is support the Web 2.0 services and hope it will be end up to replace the table's top calculator application. Podcast is a multimedia file distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds, for playback on mobile devices and personal computers. The term Podcast, like 'radio', can mean both the content and the method of delivery. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster. Though podcasters' web sites may also offer direct download or streaming of their content, a podcast is distinguished from other digital audio formats by its ability to be downloaded automatically using software capable of reading feeds like RSS or Atom. The Podcast does not demand to use the iPod or iTuneses. Any numerical audio frequency player or o appropriate software on computers can also broadcast the podcast. Podcasting is an automatic mechanism whereby multimedia computer files are transferred from a server to a client, which pulls down XML files containing the Internet addresses of the media files. In general, these files contain audio or video, but also could be images, text, PDF, or any file type.
The Podcast can help people subscribe the program that people would like to listen or watch through several sources. But in tradition way, the broadcast can only provide one source in one period of time and broadcasting is also according to the program timetable. So people may miss the program if they do something in that period of time. But the text file is helping people to relieve the time limit. The podcast is getting information through the different source so it make it has more special features and attraction.
But the disadvantage of Podcasting is the usage contain the copyright music is sensitive to the copyright law problem.

But before blogging became popular, digital communities took many forms, including Usenet, e-mail lists and bulletin board systems (BBS).

I think the evaluation of communication is the limitation of the internet use of people because not many people will spend all day on internet and the other problem is not every one got internet at home so it causing not many people will use the good technology which is provide on the internet now. The people who in age 40 to 60 also know nothing about the new communication style is on Internet, because they don’t use this in the life before and they don’t learn it at their age too. It will hard to let everyone using the new communication in internet but the number of people using this kind of communication is increase every year. Because most teenagers is learning how to use internet at school and this new technology is also attract the teenager to using it. So in the next few year, this technology might become most popular in world.
