Lets stop trying to be fortunetellers and let’s look at the real facts and not mere estimates.
We do know that there was an Ice Age and the world then warmed up, then there was a Little Ice Age just 500 years ago and it has been warming up ever since. The Industrial Revolution was not around during those periods; humans weren’t emitting extra CARBON DIOXIDE. Science has proven Carbon Dioxide will increase after cold periods in history. The little Ice Age happened from 1400-1860, so it is normal to be experiencing a slow increase. Geologists like Nicholas Chackleton and Neil Opdyke, both from Cambridge University, has estimated the average world temperature has been slowly increased over the last one million years, long before the human industries started releasing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
CARBON DIOXIDE is usually blamed for the increase in global warming, yes atmospheric carbon dioxide has increased by 28 percent over the past 150 years but human-generated carbon dioxide could have played only a small part in any warming, since most of the warming occurred before 1940 which was before most human-caused carbon dioxide emissions were made during the post war industrial boom when unprecedented amounts of man-made carbon dioxide were being emitted into the atmosphere by factories, cars, and power plants however from 1940-1975 the earth was cooling.
Carbon Dioxide forms only .037% of the atmosphere, for it to be dangerous it would have to be at least 1.5%. These levels could not be reached even if we burned all the existing fossil fuels, take into consideration that of that 0.037% we only make a 3% of it, so calculate the 3% of 0.037, its not even worth mentioning.
Even if it weren’t used up CARBON DIOXIDE has a life span of only 20 years so the carbon footprint we leave now will no longer be there in 20 years time.
The evidence shown in the increase of global temperatures demonstrates that during the post war industrial boom unprecedented amounts of man-made carbon dioxide were being emitted into the atmosphere by factories, cars, and power plants yet from 1940-1975 the earth was cooling; this is more adequate to the 1500 years climate cycles. CARBON DIOXIDE therefore is not a cause of global warming.
But lets analyze further the real scientific facts. While ground-level temperature measurements suggest the earth has warmed between 0.3 and 0.6 degrees Celsius since 1850, global satellite data, the most reliable of climate measurements, show no evidence of warming during the past 18 years. Even if the earth's temperature has increased slightly, the increase is well within the natural range of known temperature variation over the last 15,000 years. Indeed, the earth experienced greater warming between the 10th and 15th centuries - a time when there were vineyards in England- this period is known as “Medieval Warm Period”, however there was no industrialization back then.
Sea levels are rising around the globe, though not uniformly. In fact, sea levels have risen more than 0.9 meters over the last 18,000 years; this makes it difficult to blame human impact of this. Rising sea levels are natural in between ice ages and we are between ice ages. Contrary to the predictions of global warming theorists, the current rate of increase is slower than the average rate over this last 18,000-year period.
The sun has both direct and indirect effects on our climate. Solar activity
changes on cycles of 11 years and longer. When the sun is more active it is brighter and a little hotter. More important though are the indirect effects. Ultraviolet radiation increases much more than the brightness and causes increased ozone production, which generates heat in the high atmosphere that works its way down, affecting the weather. Also, an active sun diffuses cosmic rays, which play an important role in nucleation of low clouds, resulting in fewer clouds. In all these ways the sun warms the planet more when it is active. An active sun in 1930s and again near the end of the last century helped produce the observed warming periods. The current solar cycle is the longest in over 100 years, an unmistakable sign of a cooling sun that historical patterns suggest will stay so for decades.
Obviously the nearer to the sun the higher the temperatures, I doubt that our opposition can say that is not true, plus industrialisation does not affect the Sun does it? What does all this mean? It means Earth's rotation changes every year and unless someone has kept 100,000 years of historical records we don't know exactly what to expect.
97% of the heat in the atmosphere gets there either through convection or evaporation, not greenhouse gases. Water evaporation is a bigger cause of global warming than carbon dioxide as even the main greenhouse gas is water vapour, being a 95% of the greenhouse gases. Water vapour is controlled by the worldwide balance between evaporation from the oceans and precipitation; human activities have little control over this. Small changes in the atmospheric levels of water, in the form of vapour and ice crystals can contribute to significant changes to the temperature of the Earths surface, just a rise of 1% of water vapour could raise the global average temperature of the Earths surface by more than 4 degrees Celsius.
Nature decides how global warming happens based upon climate sensitivity, net radiative forcing, and oceanic storage of heat, not on the type of multi-decadal time scale variability which has been discussed by followers of the global warming mania.
As the worldwide famous magazine “The Economist” declares when talking about the manipulated algorithms and false proofs used by scientists of the Climate Research Unit, the UK central for global warming research, “sceptics should not be silenced” as “there is no doubt that politics and science make uncomfortable bedfellows”.
