COCA-COLA BOTTLES
The first type of bottle "Coke" came in was the Hutchinson stopper-type glass bottle that utilized an iron stopper and rubber washer. Joseph Biedenharn, the first bottler, originally used this type of bottle. "Coca-Cola" was usually written in script or block print in the glass front.
DATES: 1894 - early 1900's
The second type of "Coke" bottle was the crown-top, straight-sided, and utilized a cap instead of a stopper. Millions of these bottles were used until imitations became a problem. These bottles came in amber, clear and light green colours, and were also the first to have labels on them.
DATES: 1905 - 1916
The latest type of bottle used is known today as the "hobbleskirt" or contour bottle. The bottle was invented specifically for "Coca-Cola" by the Chapman Root Glass Company of Terre Haute, Indiana. They modelled the bottle after a cocoa bean. The bottle was first patented on November 16, 1915, and renewed on December 25, 1923. The actual shape of the bottle was patented in 1960.
DATES: 1915 - today
FIRST BOTTLER OF COCA-COLA
In the summer of 1894, Joseph Agustus Biedenharn, a 28 year-old candy merchant from Vicksburg, Mississippi, offered the first bottle of "Coca-Cola." It was originally sold at just soda fountains. Biedenharn sold to rural areas around Vicksburg.

RESULTS
I interviewed 20 people asking them what they liked and disliked about the product that I will be changing, Coca Cola drinks. This questionnaire will later guide me about what the public want and need and on what to change or what to improve in the product that I will be making.
Below are the results:
Buying drinks: All twenty people said they buy drinks, which was an answer that I was looking forward to hear from all twenty people who I questioned. This therefore means that more or the majority of people do buy drinks from there local shop or supermarket stores.
Favourite drinks: The result for this question was also interesting as 15 people said there favourite drink was Coca Cola and five people preferred Diet coke. Coca cola is a normal drink and diet coke is for diabetics.
Features to be changed in the product:
Out of twenty people 14 were interested in changing the size of the bottle/can. Only 3 people were interested in changing the design/ logo of the product. Also 3 people were interested in having a different shape. Overall the majority were interested in having the size of the bottle or can changed
Changes that would be made to the type of product:
Out of 20 people, 18 people preferred the flavour of the drink to be changed and 2 people wanted the drink to be fizzier or have more sugar in it.
Changes to the packaging of the product:
17 people out of 20 were interested in having the packaging more colourful. Only 3 people were interested in having the packaging of the product in various designs.
Where the product is mostly wanted to be sold :
10 people wanted the product to be sold at corner shops and 10 people wanted the product to be sold at supermarkets. This means that consumers are more interested in seeing the product more out and about.
Where the advertising of the product is best wanted to be seen at:
Out of 20 people 16 people were more interested in watching the product advertised on the television.3 people preferred to hear the advertisement of the product on the radio and only 1 person wanted to see the advertisement in the magazines. I think rather people reading the product in the magazines, on buses/bus shelters, leaflets or seeing a poster, they find it more easier to put the television on and look at the advertisement.
The price of the product is too high, average or too low:
17 people said that the product is priced average and the rest 3 thought the price for the product is high. When I asked why the people that thought the price of the product was high they said that it depends on your income, basically the product was expensive for them to buy. I agree that the product is priced average.
