Planning the Making and the manufacturing for the Future (in Quantity).

Planning the Making and the manufacturing for the Future (in Quantity) This page consists of information and decisions that I would make if I was going to mass produce my product. I have thought about methods that can be used, Quality of the product (for example tolerance), cost and many other aspects. Case I made my case using vacuum forming. I have looked into other ways I could use to produce many cases that are the same. The main method I found that is worth considering is injection moulding. Injection moulding is a manufacturing process where heated plastic is forced into a mould cavity under pressure. A mould cavity is essentially a negative of the part being produced. The cavity is filled with plastic, and the plastic changes phase to a solid, resulting in a positive. The machines then use high pressure to mould the plastic, Because of the high pressures involved, the mould must be clamped shut during injection and cooling. The two main plastics used are thermoset which cannot be resoftened after being subjected to heat and pressures; and thermoplastic, which can be repeatedly softened and reshaped by heat and pressure. Both of these materials are fairly cheap and therefore will cut down on production costs. Also in vacuum forming plastic is wasted that was surrounding the case in the forming process this is then cut off to leave you with your case; this wastage is

Security Management

Security Management: Instant Messaging Perspective Executive Summary Nowadays, Instant messaging (IM) is used in the corporate environment which is rising rapidly, as organizations welcome to accept IM as a business communications tool. IM promotes cooperation and real-time communication among employees, business partners, and customers. It also brings new threats to local area network security and makes organizations to have a potential risks when employees share illegal or inappropriate content over the internet. Organizations are also faced with reduced employee productivity when IM is used arbitrarily and for personal communications. When use of IM is unmonitored and uncontrolled, it can lead to a significant drain on IT resources, as the IT staff attempt to identify which IM applications are being used and by whom. Moreover, when instant messaging is used to send and receive files, not only can the resulting drain on bandwidth negatively impact network performance, but the files themselves can pose a serious security threat. This report provides information to better understand threats of IM and mitigate its impact to business. The threats of IM are investigated. The trend in growing targets and number of cases are related to IM threats are analyzed. The impacts to business are assessed to identify areas of security management require great concern. Finally, measures

I will be comparing men in black and terminator two (MIB) and (T2).

Media studies homework Intro in this piece of work I will be analysing and comparing two science fiction (Sci -fi) movies. The names of the two movies I will be comparing are men in black and terminator two (MIB) and (T2). The sci-fi Genre has some dominant conventions such as new technology in a lot of sci-fi movies the new technology evolves around time travelling gadgets or weapons. Another dominant convention is computers which probably could have a mind of its own. In sci-fi movies the actual technology used to make the movies has advanced dramatically which makes sci-fi films even better with computer generated images (CGI). Main part MIB and T2 are both sci-fi films I can tell this because of generic conventions in MIB the storyline is based around aliens living on earth it is then followed up by two humans having to save the earth. In T2 the storyline is based around a terminator being sent back in time from the future to save a little boy from another terminator who is trying to kill him the story unfolds to tell us that the little boy is supposed to save the future. MIB could be considered a Sci-fi comedy this is because of comedy conventions I found in the movie in MIB there were generic conventions like laughter and silly behaviour misfortune and funny appearance.T2 could be called a sci-fi action this is because while analysing the film I found conventions

I plan to make a greenhouse. I am very knowledgeable on greenhouses as growing plants and vegetables, is a keen interest of my parents. I have many ideas to improve the greenhouse. My greenhouse is fully enclosed protecting the plants from bugs and animals whilst creating the right atmosphere for plants to grow healthily. The greenhouse is in a mahogany brown colour which integrates with colours already within the garden, the paint used was a waterproof stain so the design is also resistant to the different weather conditions in the UK. My design should have been a maximum cost of £30 and although the electronics and materials only came to the small amount of £10 I feel the labour costs came to £15 only just coming under the £30 limit. My design runs off the computers mains supply which means there will be no need to replace batteries but I am also able to turn off the design by pressing a switch on the outside of the greenhouse. A visible and audible alarm warns users of moving parts keeping the user safe. Good points of the project was that I was able to use machines that I had not used before such as the ban saw and hand held drill, it has given me experience and knowledge which I can use for future projects. A bad point of the project was that the testing took a long time and I had to spend extra time after school making minor adjustments to the Logicator program. I

Internal and External validity.

Internal Validity is the approximate truth about inferences regarding cause-effect or causal relationships. Thus, internal validity is only relevant in studies that try to establish a causal relationship. It's not relevant in most observational or descriptive studies, for instance. But for studies that assess the effects of social programs or interventions, internal validity is perhaps the primary consideration. In those contexts, you would like to be able to conclude that your program or treatment made a difference -- it improved test scores or reduced symptom logy. But there may be lots of reasons, other than your program, why test scores may improve or symptoms may reduce. External validity concerns making generalizations about your results. That is, how well do the conclusions of your study apply to other people in other places at other times? Generally speaking, social science researchers are interested in acquiring knowledge about a sizeable population. And yet, often it is not feasible to obtain information from every individual in that population. Hence, researchers draw samples from the larger population, administer the measurement instrument to this smaller sample group and generalize the results back to the entire population of interest. Internal and External validity: When we conduct experiments, our goal is to demonstrate cause and effect relationships between

The aim of the lesson was to investigate anaerobic respiration of yeast and beer brewing in school and in industry.

Aim The aim of the lesson was to investigate anaerobic respiration of yeast and beer brewing in school and in industry. Introduction Home brewing can be an enjoyable hobby. You can make beer at home that is as good as, if not better than, anything you can buy at the liquor store. Homebrew is also much cheaper than anything you can buy at the liquor store. This article will briefly cover the ingredients, equipment, and process used to make your first batch of homebrew. Yeast is the most important ingredient in brewing. You must have good clean yeast to make good beer. All other issues and ingredients mean nothing if bacteria or wild yeast (any yeast other than beer yeast is wild) get a foothold in your worth. Good sanitary procedures are essential as is good clean yeast. Anaerobic respiration produces carbon dioxide and alcohol. It releases less energy than aerobic respiration so it's only used when the there is not enough oxygen for aerobic respiration. The Poem that I am going to talk about in this essay is

The Poem that I am going to talk about in this essay is "The Horses" by Edwin Muir. In this essay I am going to talk about the poems use of language to convey a picture, the theme of the poem and how the poem has affected me. On the first few lines of the poem, the word choice is crucial, the poet uses the phrase "Barely a twelvemonth after", the word twelvemonth is an old word and this conveys one of the poems main reoccurring images of time. On the second line the poet talks about the seven-day war that put the world to sleep, this is a Euphemism about a nuclear war that killed everyone in just 7 days. The 7 days is a biblical reference, the irony is that it took God 7 days to create the world and took man 7 days to destroy it. The time aspect comes into it again to goes from year to day onto the next line with a particular time of day. This poem is about surviving a war. When it talks about the strange horses either there is something strange about the horses or the horses are strange, this has more than one meaning, throughout the poem things have more than one meaning. On line 4 it talks about making a covenant with silence, covenant could mean either one of three things, it could either be an archaic word, a legalistic word or a biblical word but the author uses all of these 3 meanings to build up how quiet it was with all the people. On line 5 the cyclical nature
