Winston Churchill

“This is the sort of English up with which I will no put” (Andrews,204). Winny, as his colleagues formerly knew him, is best known for his great victory over the German Luftwaffe during the Second World War (Downing St.).

Winston was born into the already politically powerful Churchill family on November 30, 1874. His father, a British diplomat, soon rose to become the leader of the House of the Commons. As a war correspondent, Churchill wrote many books on the Boer war and other conflicts in South Africa where he was stationed for many years (keller,23).
