Media Coursework – Blessing

As far as the lighting goes, I would need to use natural lighting, showing the sun shining down the desert. Background music/sound effect would be of the hollow wind, with a voice over of the poem 'The Blessing', preferably with the narrator speaking in an African accent, showing that the whole scenery is in Africa.

The costumes should be rags, showing that there is not much available for them. In the first half of this video, it will consist of very basic shots and framing, the shots will be of the family, when the children are sleeping and the parents are looking at the sky.

In the Second half, the background will change to a slum area in India, with a smoke atmosphere, to show that there is a lot of poverty.

Background music/sound effect would be of children playing and crying, with a voice over of the poem 'The Blessing', Now with the narrator speaking in an Indian accent, showing that the whole scenery is in a slum area in India.

The costumes should be torn clothing, showing that there is not much available in choice for them. In this half, it will

consist of shots of the pipe bursting in the middle of the slums, showing all the children running and enjoying themselves, the shots would be of over the shoulders, when

the children are running, and a birds-eye view of all the children near the municipal pipe bursting, when the festivities finish, it will go to the parents who are thinking of the struggle that lies ahead.
