She should now realise that drinking coffee can cause damage to her health if this is drank too often. She should be aiming to drink two litres of water each day. Water is the most important nutrient, as each cell in her body needs it to help it keep functioning correctly. Her body is made up of mostly water, which: is essential for digestion, nutrient absorption, helps control he body’s temperature, lubricates joints, help keep the skin healthy, and helps remove toxins from her body.
Her lunch was very healthy. Kim’s lunch was a chicken sandwich. Chicken is an excellent source of protein. Bread is a good source of carbohydrate; also known as starch (a slow realise of energy) a small amount of butter was added. Butter is a rich source of vitamin A needed for a wide range of functions in the body, for example good eye vision. Butter also contains other fat-soluble. Vitamin E, and vitamin K are also rich in trace minerals. The combination of Kim’s lunch I would say is very healthy, although Kim should try and eat wholemeal bread when possible.
I feel that Kim’s dinner was the most nutritious meal that day. Dinner was made up of potatoes chicken and vegetables. Potatoes are a carbohydrate and also recognised as starch. In potatoes it contains potassium, fibre, 220-240 kcal and zero grams of fat, however this can vary. The vegetables are packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and fibre. Most vegetables are low in calories, but high in fibre. Vegetables help to control weight. They are a natural source of energy and give her body the many nutrients it needs to keep going. Chicken is an excellent source of protein, and with the vegetables and potatoes, this is an excellent example of a healthy balanced meal.
Kim should try not to snack on fatty, sugary foods, as the calories are empty of any nutrients. Too much sugar is extremely bad for your body and can often leave you feeling tired or irritable.
Overall, I think Kim has a well balanced diet. Her body is getting all the nutrients it needs to function correctly. I suggest that she snacks on healthy foods such as fruit and vegetables, simply anything that is not too high in sugar. Kim should continue to eat regular and often and this will help keep her metabolism up and she won’t find the need to snack of unhealthy fatty foods. Of course the odd chocolate is ok now and again ☺
