How does Shakespeare use dramatic devices in Act 3 scene 1 of Romeo and Juliet in order to make it such an interesting, exciting and important scene?

Romeo and Juliet’s families don’t like each other and are always squabbling. At the start the two families have a fight which results in a massive scene with Prince getting involved and saying if this happens again then someone would die. Then after that a party Romeo and Juliet meet each other for the first time and fall in love, also at the party the Capulets come without being invited and when Tybalt sees this he gets angry. Because of what happens in the party the two sides meet somewhere and Mercutio gets killed by Tybalt and then Romeo kills Tybalt for killing Mercutio. After that part the prince comes to where Mercutio is lying and says that Romeo will be banished from Verona and if he was to come back then he’ll be executed. Lastly what happens in the plot is that at the end Romeo and Juliet die as Romeo thinks Juliet is dead, but in fact she is asleep then kills himself. Then Juliet wakes up and finds Romeo dead and kills herself.

The play fits into a tragedy genre by having a typical tragic hero with a fatal flaw. What this means is that Romeo is a protagonist who always does good but has his flaw by being in love with Juliet. His fatal flaw catches up with him by him not thinking and acting right, for example when Fine Lawrence gives him the message that Juliet is not actually dead just asleep he doesn’t see it as he is too much in love over the extent that he makes mistakes. Then by Romeo not seeing and missing the message he goes back to Verona where he is clearly been told he is not allowed and risks himself of being killed. But kills him anyway when he sees Juliet asleep and thinks she is dead. So his fatal flaw is thinking she is asleep and not paying attention to the message which he got sent which both lead to him and Juliet dying.

The general themes of the play are tragedy, fate and impetuosity. When in the play the theme tragedy comes in is when Romeo makes mistakes many times during this play for example not seeing the message sent to Fine Lawrence, not fighting back against Tybalt when he is beating him up and also thinking that Juliet is dead when she is actually alive. The general theme of fate comes in as what the prince says about if they were too then someone would get killed. The theme impetuosity occurs generally in the play for example Romeo are minute loves someone ...
