“Guys, you will never believe what. I have been invited to Laurens house party, yes i did say Lauren the most popular girl in the school and she said i could be popular if i fit in at the party, anyway lads i got to dash off home” said Chip.
Before anyone could even get another word in Chip had gone.
On the bus home Charlie and Rich were talking about how much Chip was going to change because he can finally be popular.
“Chip is going to be such an idiot the rest of his school life just because of you stupid party” said Rich.
“I know it’s blooming stupid, well it’s his life and if that’s what he wants to do obviously he is going to do it, we actually have no way of stopping him” replied Charlie.
When Chip got in he rushed straight up the stairs to his room. He took his top off and went straight to his wardrobe to see if there was actually any decent shirt or polo that still fit him. Chip had never had a girlfriend before, well not a proper one anyway, he went out with a girl when he was year 8 but it only lasted 2 days. This party was the perfect opportunity for Chip to get a girlfriend.
Chip shouted down the stairs,
“Mum, Can i borrow £50 to go shopping with tomorrow, because I’ve been invited to a house party and i really need to look good.”
“Can’t you just wear that shirt and tie i brought you for Christmas, that looks good” replied Julie Chips mum.
“No mum i am defiantly not wearing that, no offence it’s nice but i wouldn’t wear it to a house party, and i need to become more fashionable. So mum please can i borrow it i promise ill pay you back” explained Chip.
“Well i suppose so, at least your coming out of your shell”
“Thanks mum” replied Chip
It was 11o’clock the next morning and chip got straight out of bed and on the phone to Richard.
“Hey Richey do you wanna come Milton Keynes shopping with me in about 2 hours, my mum let me borrow £50 off her and I’ve already got £50 so I’m gunner buy some good clothes for Laurens house.”
“Well ......... err I’m going to my nanas house in London today so i can’t sorry Chip” replied Rich.
“Ok it’s alright have fun.” Then he picked up the phone and said the exact same thing to Charlie. Charlie replied,
“Sorry mate I’ve got so much revision to do because I’ve got my Latin and Spanish exams first thing on Monday.”
“Ok its fine” replied Chip. The fact is Rich and Charlie just didn’t want to go shopping because they absolutely hate it.
Chip didn’t know what to do and just sat down on his bed thinking what to do whilst watching 4 music on his 32 inch TV. Suddenly his phone started ringing, it was an unknown number so he was a bit scared to pick it up, he plucked up the courage and he answered the phone.
“Hello Chip its Lauren, I’m going shopping into town today to get an outfit for my party and i was wondering if you want to come with me, i was gunner go with my dad but i thought i would ask you.”
“Oh my god how did you know i was going shopping today, i gunner go to MK but yeah of course I’ll come into town with you.” Replied chip in an amazed voice.
“Ok thank you well come to my house in 10 minutes yeah, and my dad will take us to the Arndale in his brand new black, shiny Bentley,” Said Lauren. Chip Ran down stairs grabbed an apple and poked his head around the corner and said,
“Mum, I’m going shopping into Luton with Lauren now, I’ve got my phone so call me if you need me.”
“Ok son have fun,” replied Julie.
Chip casually walked out oh the door in his grey Nike hoody and dark denim jeans. Lauren’s house was about 5 minute walk so Chip text Lauren saying ‘hey i was just wondering how much money you bringing today xx.’ he carried on walking down the road and not even a minute later Lauren had text back ‘about £150 what about you x.’ By the time Chip could reply to the text he was already at Laurens house. He wasn’t used to knocking for girls so Chip was quite nervous, he reached up to the bronze lion knocker and slowly pulled it back; he was just about to knock, then Lauren open the door and said with laughter,
“hey chip i saw you coming up the path way and told my dad to get his keys, we thought it would be funny to make you jump as i opened it.”
“Yeah you did make me jump i wasn’t expecting that at all.” Replied Chip in a much exited manner. Lauren showed Chip to the car.
It was only a 10 minute car journey from Laurens house to the Arndale shopping centre.
When they got in Chip said,
“so Lauren lets go to your shops first so i can see what top nosh outfit your buying and maybe I’ll get up to big standards like you.”
“Aw Chip you’re so cute,” replied impressed Lauren. When they were in Hollister Lauren asked Chip a what colour top she should get. Chip didn’t have a clue but said,
“Why don’t you get the blue one?”
“I’m so glad you said that because i thought that one looked good.” Also in the shop Lauren brought a pair of ripped skinny jeans.
“So, Chip what shop to you want to go into” said Lauren.
“Well, is there anywhere i can get Ralph Lauren?” asked Chip. Lauren didn’t really know so they walked around and finally found a shop that sold some Ralph Lauren. The first thing that caught Chips eye was a purple polo with red logo. As soon as he saw it he knew he was going to buy it, it was £70 but he didn’t care.
Lauren had to shoot off home to help her mum with something so Chip called his mum and ask her to pick him up.
