The Manual Handling Operations Regulation 1992, this regulation covers the handling and risks associated with lifting

children, it’s important that children are carried with care. The appropriate way to carry babies is by supporting their

head to ensure it does not fall backwards and cause an injury to the neck, back or brain. When older children are to be
