Was the work that women did in the war the most important reason why they were given the vote?

There were many reasons why women were given the vote. All the work the Suffragettes and the Suffragists did was important. The Suffragists were the brain of the organization. They were the crux of the female suffrage. The suffragettes were a splinter group, who formed because they thought that with no attention, they were making no progression in the work needed to win women the right to vote. As a last resort of suffrage, the suffragettes started using violence, to relieve anger, but mostly to aware people of the problem. Violence was seen as the last resort and would obviously been regarded as the best way to get publicity. Another way of great publicity were the force feeding accounts, this showed sympathy and desperation.

People started to use the excuse that women like that should not get the vote because of lack of responsibility. Emily Davison convinced people of desperation for suffrage. However, in my opinion, the most convincing thing that the Suffragettes and Suffragists did was the work that they did in the war and their contributions.

These women who worked in the war, even though they had not been given the vote were truly honourable. The women gained respect from people and, in my opinion; they won the vote for this reason. There were many other reasons why women won the vote. ...
