Without the first World War British women would not have gained the

right to vote in 1918?

I agree with this statement as without the First World War breaking

out women would not have been able to show the government and the

public on how capable they were, and how equal they were when doing

men jobs and helping out during the war. Men had got to see a

different side to women, a side that women didn?t get to show. Like

working in factories, businesses and other facilities working side by

side with men this showed they were as tough and as capable as men.

Source A- The importance of the Vote is from a speech made by

Emmeline Pankhurst in March 1908. I agree with source A because it is

telling you the truth and it goes straight to the point that women was

not seen as very important people and that they were more like seen as

servants and mothers, people to stay at home, cook, and clean, and

they would have to ask the government, they could not do it without

hearing demands for social reform. If a woman worked in business they

cannot leave any duties at home they had to make sure all duties at

home came first on top of anything else.

Source B- An argument in favour of votes for women. I agree with this

source as it speaks the truth in 1900?s it didn?t matter if a woman

was a doctor, or a businesswoman, or a mayor she still ...
