Religion, Wealth And Poverty

Christians view on wealth is that it can be used for good and for evil wealth can be used for good by giving money to the poor and homeless and to be used for evil by keeping all of the money for yourself without sharing any of it. This is seen to be evil in the eyes of god and when these people die they will be separated from the good and the bad just like the parable of the sheep and the goat the sheep will go to heaven, these will be the people who share money and do good things. The evil people (goats) will go to hell these will be the more selfish people who don’t share money or do good things the just sit down and enjoy their own company. According to the gospels, Jesus talked more about money than he did heaven or prayer e.g. “do not store up riches for yourselves here on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and robbers break in and steal, instead, store up riches for yourselves in heaven. For your heart will always be where your riches are” (Matthew 6.19).
