Explain the practical importance of baptism from a biblical perspective

In John 19:34 it says " One of the soldiers, however, plunged his spear into Jesus' side and at once blood and water poured out", this represents Eucharist and Baptism. A bible verse showing the importance of Baptism is 1 Peter 3:20 - 21 " These were the spirits of those who had not obeyed God when he waited patiently during the days that Noah was building his boat (eight In all) were saved by the water, which was a symbol pointing to baptism, which now saves you" this shows that Baptism saves you from a bad life and makes your life better. The main purpose of Baptism is so that a person can have his/her sins washed away and then starts a new life sinless. In the bible it says many things about Baptism and how important it is, and the bible is the Holy book of the Christian religion, so if the Bible says that Baptism will save you and make you a new sinless person then people will go by this as it is believed to be the voice of God and Christians will obey the teachings of God and Jesus. Also in Titus 3:16 it says that Baptism is needed for a new life and for Salvation as well. In Acts 16:31-33 it says that Baptism is always connected with faith, and in baptism, the word of God (God's promise) gives new life to anyone who is baptised, when they are Baptised.

From all of these points I hope you can see the importance of Baptism from the bibles perspective, in the bible it says that Baptism is needed for new life, a sinless life and by being Baptised we are being saved, the Bible is Gods words, so Christians follow this.
