Osmosis Experiment
Osmosis is the movement of water through a semi permeable membrane, separating solutions of different concentrations. The water passes from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration, until the two concentrations are equal in concentrations of water. A semi permeable membrane allows small molecules to pass through such as water and stops larger molecules such as sugar.

So I plan to find out the concentration of the inside of a potato cell by how much water is lost through a potato by osmosis. I am trying to show osmosis through a semi permeable membrane by using 6 different sugar solutions with different concentrations to show which is the best at keeping the water in the potato.0.00M, 0.15M, 0.30M, 0.45M, 0.60M, 0.75M
Hypothesis: Now I predict that the higher the concentration of sugar solution the lower the concentration of the water, so the potato will lose weight, due to osmosis when the concentration of sugar is lower the potato will gain weight due to osmosis. Somewhere in the middle there will be no change in weight and this will be the point of equilibrium.
