The John Nike Leisuresport Complex is situated behind the Coppid Beach Hotel, just off of the Coppid Beach roundabout, close to the M4 (junction 10) and the M3  (junction 3), Amen corner, Bracknell.

The John Nike Leisure Complex is highlighted on the Map of Bracknell in pink.

The John Nike Leisuresport Complex was opened by its owner, John Nike, on 31st October 1987 and housed the first Olympic and international sized ice rink in England.

The other main attraction, being the dry ski-slope offers skiing and snowboarding. All of the slopes are over 150 metres long and lubricated with water for fast, smooth sliding all year round. All the centres have at least two draglifts and is the only ski centre in England with a chair lift.

For the less experienced, skiing and snowboarding tuition is offered on the beginner slopes, ideal for children.

Aside form the Ice-rink, used for social sessions (for which you can have private lessons) as well as Ice Hockey super league games (home of the Bracknell Bee’s ice hockey team) and the dry ski–slope the Leisuresport has many facilities to offer for all ages, such as, skating, snooker, health suite, sauna, Jacuzzi, all within the UK's only total winter sports activity centre.

There is also a bar restaurant, cafeteria (and all the above) available under one roof.

The John Nike Leisuresport is a private sector, as it is owned by John Nike, as opposed to a public sector which would be owned by Bracknell council.

I conducted a survey of 20 people to help me assess  which facilities are popular and which are not so, possible improvements, strengths, weaknesses etc in the eyes of the public. (Results on next page)

The BSLC is situated on the Bagshot road, which runs from Bagshot through the centre of Bracknell to Ascot, so it is easily accessible to residents outside of Bracknell as well as in.

The BSLC was opened in 1962. Although it is considered to be a public sector, many of the classes are private run by professionals employed by the BSLC.

The BSLC offer perhaps the widest range of activities and facilities within the centre itself, than anywhere else in Bracknell. It offers 3 swimming pools (including public and training sessions), 2 sports halls (used for various sports such as Basketball, Badminton, and other public events), 4 squash courts, a 6-lane athletic track, grass and floodlit synthetic pitches, BodyWorks Fitness Room, Forest Spa Health Suite, BodyBeats Fitness Studio and Party Animals Children's Themed Parties. Many private classes are also held in the studios too.
