Health is that of all living entities on this planet wether it is good or bad health and usually surrounding environments, etc conclude on the balance of the health of the said entity.
There are six types of health…

- Mental
- Social
- Emotional
- Spiritual
- Environmental
A health promotion agency called “WHO” promotes the definition of health and also defines it as "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity". This organization defined this in 1994 (swc-cfc). In 1998 the same organization defined health as being “a dynamic state of complete physical, mental, spiritual and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity” (map.naccho). This is WHO’s new proposed definition of the term health. this statement has been modified to include the ability to lead a socially and economically productive life.
WHO is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends. Nowadays due to the beginning of the 21st century, health is a shared responsibility, involving equitable access to essential care and collective defense against transnational threats.
There are four general determinants of health which are human biology, environment, , and .
Some other determinants of health that can effect an entity either positively or negatively are physical fitness, mental health, height, health maintenaoonce, nutrition, exercise, hygiene, health care and role of science in health.
In health and care health is focused on those who intend on receiving health care doe example the elderly or children but even animals and plants outside of the health ad social care setting. It is also focused on the surrounding environment and how that affects a person’s health and well being, their mental health is also an affecting factor and so are the many others I have mentioned in this assignment.
According to “child care and education” whenever possible children should stay at home when ill, within thwe secure environment of their family and usual surroundings… the parents may need advice on how to care for their child, and this is provided by the family GP and primary health care team – some health authorities also have specialist paediatric nursing visiting services.
I will now discuss the positive and negative aspects of health. Positive aspects of health revolve around the true well being of an person who will be known as to be in good health. The negative aspects of health in turn revolve around the the ill health of a person. This does not necessarily mean that the person is ill in health due to a disease or infection. The positive apsect of health is good or the best attainable fitness and well-being. Health also implies good prospects for continued survival. It is a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources as well as physical capabilities Another positive aspect of health is that mortality measures are used as a proxy for population health which create comparisons among populations (depts..washington). Health is a resource for everyday life, not the object of living.
The approach to medicine that is concerned with the health of the community as a whole is a positive aspect of health. (wikipedia.org). This means that the public health as a whole is the community’s health. The public health is every person within in the community and intending to promote good health in the community is a positive aspect of health. This approach produces an element of good health and well being of the community population.
Another positive aspect of health is that good health can be gaied and maintained through science and its evolution over the years. Knowledge means wisdom and gaining knowledge and understanding of the human body creates the ability to gain and maintain good health and wellbeing. Although this can only occur by choice and finding out about healthy lifestyle choices. Health related fitness is what everyone should have whether they play a sport or not. It is about keeping the body fit for health.
Now that I have discussed the positive aspects of health I will discuss the negative aspects of health. Health can be defined negatively due to the presense of illess and disease and also as the absence of illness such as the ability to cope with everyday activities.
A negative aspect would also be if a person did not feel emotionally healthy and their socializing declined due to anxiety problems. Health is on a continuum with movements between a state of optimum well-being and illness which is defined as degrees of disharmony. Health is a dynamic state on the wellness-illness continuum, ranging from high-level wellness, to states of illness/premature death (frc.mass.edu)
Health impacts are changes in resulting from exposure to a source. Health effects are an important in many areas such as , studies, , and in general. Some of the major environmental sources of health effects are , , , and (wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_effects).
In conclusion I have defined the term health and also explained this definition, who it affects and the positive and negative aspects of this definition at hand.
