For this assignment I am going to state the definition of health and also explain this definition, who it affects and the positive and negative aspects of this definition at hand.

Children represent the future, and ensuring their healthy growth and development ought to be a prime concern of all societies. Newborns are particularly vulnerable and children are vulnerable to malnutrition and infectious diseases, many of which can be effectively prevented or treated.

Health is a state of total mental, physical and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity. It is a healthy state of wellbeing free from disease and the general condition of body and mind (wordnet.princeton). Health is not just the absence of disease or infirmity.

An example of being unhealthy would be if a person had depression they would therefore have a lack of healthy well being as they would be socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively be lacking.

Although according to “early years” to be healthy means very different things to different people, but it is generally associated with physical health rather than the aspects of health such as mental and social health.

Health is that of all living entities on this planet wether it is good or bad health and usually surrounding environments, etc conclude on the balance of the health of the said entity.
