Website analysis The site address is www.loroparque.com/ My first impression is very good because it starts with a video and is well laid out. It also is very good at grabbing your attention because of colour matching and nice scenery. The opening video is interesting because the animals are unusual and very rare to see in the face. Also there are families and pictures of kids having fun. The colour is also used through the whole website but it is not a colour that I would associate with the company as it not a massive franchise and it is not in Britain. The information is not great but they have covered the main part but haven't gone past that to get a feeling of that you really know were your going. The price list is available showing the one day price and annual. Also there is a special offer for the locals in Tenerife Get a discounted rate of 30 % off. Designing a questionnaire I am going to look at information about the types of questions in a questionnaire and look at some of the types of answers eg, multi-choice. I will conduct my research by looking on the Internet and looking examples of original questionnaires. Below is a sample of a questionnaire that I found on the Internet. Brief For my AS level media studies coursework, my brief was to produce an entertainment webzine comprising of a home page, six hyperlinked pages with at least 1 original picture. Research Firstly I chose to focus my project on urban music but I found that it would be difficult through my research to focus on a wide genre of music (especially with the time restrictions). Therefore I decided to narrow the concept down to one particular artist of the urban ("hip-hop") culture scene. I then began to find that the concept of a "hip-hop" orientated webzine appealed to a 13-19 year old urban music liking audience which I labelled as my "target" audience. Through questionnaires and group interviews I found the response very interesting, I found that most of the target audience felt that "hip-hop" was treated as a niche category and that the lesser known artists were not being represented. On the questionnaire a question asked: Do you think that there are enough hip-hop dedicated sites on the internet? Approximately 60% of the answers I received said that there was not enough "hip-hop" sites on the web and many highlighted the point that lesser known artists were being represented. To commence, Feebe discussed that the selectivity of the representations form human values. Media affects public opinion due to the selected representations that is monitored by the government. To illustrate, Media determines what politics believe to be important issues by paying attention to some problems and ignoring or paying minimal attention to others, especially if we accept a constructionist approach where media representations help to construct our understanding of the world.
