Why did war break out in Europe in 1939?

Of course all historians agree that Adolf Hitler was the main reason that the Second World War started in 1939. This was because of his totalitarian way of running his country. Also because of how aggressive he was towards weaker countries. In the paragraphs below I will say what the main reasons for the break out of war in Europe in 1939 were.

When Hitler came to power in 1933 he like many Germans were apposed to the treaty of Versailles this was because he felt it was unjust. Hitler disliked the treaty so much that he called the Germans who signed the treaty “The November Criminals.” The treaty was seen as a reminder of their defeat in the First World War. Hitler stated that he would he would reverse the treaty if he came to power. Straight away when he took control of Germany he took the nation out of the League of Nations. Hitler also began to rearm Germany, which was in direct defiance of the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler handled the way that he rearmed the country very cleverly. At first he rearmed in secret. This was breaking the terms of the treaty of Versailles but no one was stopping him. In 1936 Hitler reintroduced conscription this was making the German Army bigger. This was again breaking the rules of the treaty of Versailles. February 3 1933 Adolf Hitler reveals his plans for lebensraum. He spoke of the need for an authoritarian state purged of Marxism and pacifism, the occupation of living space in the East for the German people, rearmament, and resistance to the Versailles Treaty. He stressed the importance of the military and promised not to involve it in domestic political disputes. Hitler’s purpose in making these remarks was to earn the generals’ support for his regime

This was also interesting for Hitler because it showed a weakness in the League of Nations. This was because the league was ideally designed for this and took no action. This showed Hitler that he could almost get away with murder. In 1931-32 Japan took over the area of Manchuria. China appealed to league and after a years deliberation the league decided that Japan was in the wrong. This was fine until Japan ...
