The person who owns the company is a man called George Mulalay. He works at the station making sure everything is satisfactory. The manager is known to me as he is an old school friend of my fathers. The Company is a radio station. They play music and every hour they will report the news. They also hold competitions and advertise companies. This is how we make most of our money. The company I work for has existed for three years next month on the 1st of November. The company is not a huge company; it's just not very small either. The rent we pay for our studio, where Capital FM is run, proves to be a huge financial demand. The address is "2 Clifford gardens, Hayes, Middlesex, UB3 1NX. The company at present has seven employees, include the presenters and the cleaners. The company has a reasonable listening audience although more finances would help us to expand this clientele. The company is successful; it brings in enough money to pay off all the employees and allows the manager to make a profit. It is just not as extensive as the manager has hoped yet. I have been called into help advertise the company and help fix some of their ICT solutions. In order to do this, I

ICT - APPLIED - Database on quesitonnaire

Applied ICT: Unit 3 Coursework Introduction For this coursework, I will be researching on "Instant Messaging" and using surveys to analyse on how people use instant messaging and why they use it when they know the advantages and disadvantages of using an IM application. I have carried out surveys that include a varied age range so that I do not drop into the band of biased end results. An IM application is used throughout the globe as a feature of the WWW to connect globally efficiently and instantly. The different IM applications offer different support and service. I will also find out what features of an IM application using my pre-purposed survey. I will then use the results from the survey and export them in to the database. To use a more inverted survey, I could have used an online questionnaire using MYSQL and that could be used for accurate transfers of results as it enters the database automatically. I am unable to do this as it is too difficult for me to carry out. I used a database application whereas in this case Microsoft Access. I could have used a spreadsheet for a flat database but a database application such as Microsoft Access has more features to choose from. Applied ICT Unit 3 Coursework: Strand A There are many different types of search engines that expertise in different types of categories. They vary from searching within general links and more

Social, Moral and Cultural effects of introducing ICT to a system.

Social, Moral and Cultural effects of introducing ICT to a system When ICT is introduced to a workplace, there is bound to be several changes in and around that workplace. ICT is such a powerful tool that businesses can take advantage of and use to help them but it does have its effects, some good, and some bad. Three of the main effects the introduction of ICT will definitely have are new jobs being created, old ones being modified and possibly jobs lost. To keep the ICT system running efficiently in a workplace it takes time and effort of the workers. technicians and programmers will be used to set up the system and get it functioning. It takes time to get all the components of a system together and network computers if that is what you require. Exactly what the technicians and programmers will do depends on what you want the system to do. Different computers will be used for different jobs just as different printers can be effective for different tasks. Once the hardware of the system is all set up and ready to go, the programmers will move in. It will be their job to install an OS (Operating System) on the computers and program any specific applications they may require (this could just be creating a database in Microsoft Access). Once this is all complete, the computers are ready to be managed by System Administrators, Network Managers and Systems Analyst who

Purpose After considering many problems faced by the patients when they arrive at the MediCare Hospital, I decided to implement a system which will help to overcome these problems. Using the new system, I hope that all these problems were solved. I created data entry forms which can hold details about patients, employees, doctors, daily transactions, purchase orders, pharmacy items, and payments to doctors and about appointments. Creating these forms makes the system work faster and efficient than it was before. Once the members have registered, their information is not needed again when come back on another day. Information about daily treatments and daily transactions are saved on hard disk so that it can save storage space. Daily appointments and appointed doctors can be scheduled removing any conflicts within the staff and the patients. The new system also provides security using password and usernames. 5.1.2. Report 3C: ICT Meeting Special Needs Introduction In this report I will describe a wide range of technologies which Tony Mcnulty, who is disabled, with an evaluation of the extent to which these meet their needs. Tony is paralyzed so he can no longer use his hands and legs properly. Sometimes Tony cannot hear very well sometimes and has to have sentences repeated to him several times. Tony was formally an architect but he fell off a building site whilst on a job. He now gets his staff to go on sites and he draws the designs at home. Tony is cared for by his brother but is married with three children. Tony normally goes out with his friends to pubs and clubs with people with similar disabilities. Technology 1 Electronic Wheelchair An electronic wheelchair is a wheelchair which uses a battery (usually a gel cell or wet cell) that must be re-charged on a regular basis. These types of wheelchairs are significantly heavier than most manual wheelchairs because they must house both the battery weight and the weight of any additional adaptive equipment. Advantages The advantages of electronic wheelchairs are that they are powered by a battery which means less physical use of the body for those who find it hard to use their hands properly. Another advantage of electronic wheelchairs is that there is no need for someone to assist you can go by yourself. Another advantage is

Your advertisement or web site should be attractive and easy to update as films and timings change and be suitable for publication in various places. The application chosen To complete the task above, I used Microsoft 'Front page' 2000. T his is a Desktop Publishing package and enabled me to create a web page, as specified in the task brief. This task required a DTP (Desktop publisher) as it is a web based project, in other words, the result could be published on the web. I used Front page, as it enabled me to easily update and modify the web page, this was also required in the specification. It is also easily published onto the World Wide Web, or the Internet, as long as I have the required web space necessary. I could have used Microsoft Word, which I have more knowledge about, and therefore would have been easier to use, but I felt that I would use Front page, as it automatically saves the

The Importance of keeping data accurate and reliable Keeping data accurate and reliable is seen as very important for businesses, as it is part of the running of the business for example business run using data as part as there day to day of the business; for example businesses such as Ford keep records of there customers, and potential customers, they have large databases of them, this helps Ford as this can help Ford to survive and stay alive, within the organisation people are constantly using data, this could be research or databases, this information is being used by the organisation it self from offices in head offices to the dealer branches where staff internally are using this information to help them in the running of the business. This research could help the company quite significantly as it contributes hugely into the success of the company. I am going to write my project on my local hardware shop, which is called B & K; it is based down the street just from where I live.

Introduction Background information I am going to write my project on my local hardware shop, which is called B & K; it is based down the street just from where I live. The shop provides a range of hardware goods such as household to gardening for the community in Nottingham. In terms of sales the shop is doing well apart from the current system, which is paper based. Some customers have big orders in this type of situation if there isn't enough stock in the shop then we have to order the stock, which the customer wants and tell them to come on a certain day so that when the stock arrives at the shop the customer can come and obtain stock or B & K hardware staff can deliver stock if a customer wants their goods to be delivered to their door step. The products sold at the shop are of a good quality and value for money The shop has been opened since 1990; it is very successful for its hardware goods service this is because of the quality of hardware products. The shop generally has customers from all around the areas of Nottingham. The shop is open 7 days a week from 9:00am through to 6.00pm. Most importantly the hardware shop provides: > Goods in shop > Stock deliveries to customers for large orders > Hires stock to such as wallpaper remover machine, etc to people, especially builders.
