Informal: An informal team is a group of people who develop on a less structured way.
Permanent: A permanent team is a group of people who are put together on a long term basis for a particular reason.
Temporary: A temporary team is a group of people who are employed by a company for a short period of time.
The role of the marketing team in Tesco is: Making sure those customers know about products and service that Tesco have. All the special offers that Tesco have on offer, Tesco will have to make sure that the customers know about these special offers.
The marketing team is also responsible for making sure Tesco know what customers want and make sure Tesco understand what customers want. Marketing team can do this in different ways to make sure Tesco get to know what customers want from their stores and from product and services that Tesco provide. Tesco also have to make sure their marketing team know what their competitors are doing any special offers or price reduction. Tesco will have to make sure they keep ahead of their competition so Tesco stores do not loose customers and profit. Tesco also have to make sure have good communication with customers, so customers are happy and if they have any problems Tesco can sort them out straight and they can ask customers what needs improving in stores and Tesco can make those changes. Also making sure customers are aware of new technology that Tesco have made available for customers to make it easier for them to shop at Tesco. Also if customers have any problems using that technology the team makes it easy for customers to use the technology.
Next I am going to be talking about different teams that are in Tesco and the benefits of these to Tesco.
Formal: A formal team in Tesco is: where Tesco will employ a group people who will work together on one particular job for example: A group of people put together only for the purpose of promoting products and services that Tesco offer. They have to make sure customers know about those products and services and make sure those products and services are selling. The benefit to this could be that they will not have to spend extra money on training employees to do particular jobs, save Tesco time and get jobs done quicker.
Informal: An informal team at Tesco is where Tesco will have a team of people who working on different aspects of marketing. For example: A team of people put together to work on customer satisfaction then moving of to working on make sure they are ahead of competitors. These are just some of the different jobs informal teams will do. The benefit to Tesco having this kind of team is they would have a group of people who have different skills and this be saving Tesco money because they will not have to employ people to do different jobs, also they will not have to pay out extra wages/ salaries and they will have employees who will not need extra training in doing different jobs.
Permanent: A permanent team at Tesco is where Tesco will have a group of workers who work in particular areas of marketing and will have those workers for permanent, this could be because those employees are good at that job or Tesco want one particular group of team on that job who will know what they are doing and will be up to date on what job they are doing. The benefit to this is that Tesco will only have to train any employees employed once when those employees start and they can stay in the company for a long period of time and this also means that they can pay them the same amount of wages/ salary each year.
Temporary: A temporary team at Tesco is a team of people who Tesco will hire when they are needed on particular jobs in the marketing area. If Tesco need help in making a particular area successful then they will hire people to work in that particular team for a short period of time to make that area successful. The benefit to having this sort of team is that it will save Tesco time and money because Tesco will not have to train new employees every time a particular department needs help, instead they can hire a team from a different company to come in and help that department to get back on their feet.
