Report- Destination Analysis

Reviewing last few years in tourism generally   were very encouraging which has been reflected in growth of number of tourists travelling, number of generated income as well as growth tourism as an industry itself.

I focused to provide you clear information about main global destinations in the terms of cultural, social and physical features, characteristics of those destinations as well as issues affecting the tourism in the country.

France

The largest country in Western Europe with capital city which is famous as city of love- simply charming Paris.

Cultural features:

In only one of the 22 regions IIle-de-France are situated The Louvre Château and Museum, Versailles Château, Orsay Museum, Saint-Denis Basilica and the Fontainebleau Château are all just a small part of what makes Paris Ile-de-France the most beautiful museum in the world. Apart of that the most popular sites of France are Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Centre Pompidou, Mont Sant Michel, Sainte-Chapelle, Puy de Dome, Picasso Museum, Carcassonne…and many others. 

France is well known for delicates wines and cuisine as a French Michelin Guide which rates restaurant in the highest category.

Between cultural visits and entertainment possibilities, there are ample opportunities to take advantage of your stay and discover the very best in festive entertainment as shows, Parisian reviews, operas and events.

Main religion in the country is Christian apart of minority representing Irreligion, Islamic religion and Buddhism. France is a cosmopolitan country where many different cultures found the home.

Psychical features:

France features cities of high cultural interest (Paris being the foremost) , beaches and seaside resorts, ski resorts(France has the largest ski areas in the world), and rural regions that many enjoy for their beauty and tranquillity (green tourism). Aside of casual tourism France attracts a lot of religious pilgrims to Lourdes, a town in the Hautes-Pyrénées département, that hosts a few million tourists a year.

Vanoise National Parks:

Located between the Tarentaise and the Maurienne, France’s main national park is home to a herd of 2000 ibex, which in itself makes this the largest French reserve in the Alps. It offers a 600km hiking network,the Alps pastoral life, fauna in general, marmot population management…

Throughout this vast mountain range there are several villages (, ,  or ), which boast their own remarkable heritage and which also benefit from the park’s protection.

France is one of the founding members of the European union, also a founding member of the United Nations, and a member of the Francophonie, the G8, and the Latin Union. It is one of the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council.Its highly developed country with strong and stable economy.The bigger exporter in Europe for foodstuff (wine, wheat, poultry, beef..) France has an important aerospace industry led by the European consortium Airbus,  has own national spaceport (Centre Spatial Guyanais). France is also the most energy independent Western country due to heavy investment in nuclear power (Nuclear power in France), producing carbon dioxide.Large Car Industry (Peuget, Citroen,…)

Over the years play very important role in tourism.

With app.80 million foreign tourists in 2007 France is ranked as one of the first tourist destination in the world. This figure excludes people staying less than 24 hours in France, such as northern Europeans crossing France on their way to Spain or Italy during the Summer,appart of tourists visiting France for leisure , sightseeing and business travellers.

Issues which are affecting tourism in France.

Opposite all those superlatives France is dealing with the racial issues as well as with religional - (exp. wearing of hijab in France has been a very controversial issue since 1989 until now)

French people facing language barrier with tourists coming in to France , because they don’t like to use another language apart of french.

High prices in service(accomodation, transport, food) is one of the most common factor which stops a lot of potencional tourists to come and visit France.
