After an examination of the contents of Tutankhamen's tomb, assess what life was like in Egypt during the reign of Tutankhamun.
After an examination of the contents of Tutankhamun's tomb I have concluded that it was not necessarily a time of change for industries due to the fact that it has been known that they stayed the same since the beginning of the 18th century. Though during this time there was a drastic change in religions. Before Tutankhamun began his reign as pharaoh his father Akhenatun (Pharaoh of that time) successfully change the religion from Amun to Atun, which in turn just so happened to be what hiss father had tried to accomplish in the previous years that he himself had reign as Pharaoh. When Akhenatun died, Tutankhamun's name which was originally Tutankhatun (named after Amenhotep 4th, Akhenatun) was change to the name that it known as today Tutankhamun. The reason that this order was placed over him was due to the fact that when Akhenatun died the religion was then change back to Amun. The leader who made this drastic change is known as Ay, (most powerful person in Egypt without being a pharaoh). Ay placed himself in charge when Akhenatun died and had most power over Tutankhamun, he made the change in religions and Tutankhatun's name. One of the reasons that we know Ay was administering of the Egyptian hierarchy is due to the evidence that Ay's tomb was in turn a lot larger then Tutankhamun's.
