Tutankhamun's tomb is known as being one of the smallest tombs ever created in the Egyptian Empire. The reasons for this are unknown, but it does prove to us that he was not of that greater use or need to the Egyptian Empire. In Egypt during the 18th century the burial of pharaoh's played an exceedingly large part in the Egyptian race. The foremost basis for this was to facilitate the fact that Egyptian peoples lives revolved around death, and waiting for it. Therefore they would celebrate it in extraordinary ways such as mummification, wakes ect. But the burial chambers played the key part in the death of a human as the bigger the burial chamber the more important person you were and the more effect you had on the society around you. Consequently the fact that Tutankhamun's tomb was of a genuinely smaller size then any other tomb in the Valley of the Kings and the detail that Ay's tomb was of a much larger scale again assures us that Ay held most power when Tutankhamun ruled.

The main types of industries that were around when Tutankhamun ruled were gold, wood, alabaster, Glass, barley etc. The reason we know there was a gold and silver industry is because of the evidence found in Tutankhamun's tomb. Within the tomb there were little golden shrines that were found under the hippopotamus couch, there was a throne inlaid with gold and silver and golden engraved chariots. There was a wooden chest and two life size wooden statues, which confirms the knowledge that there was infact wood industry. Glass was shown on the throne as well and there were a scares array of alabaster statues.
