1. Turn off lights.
2. Turn off other electric things, like TVs, stereos, and radios when not in use.
3. Use rechargable batteries.
4. Do things manually instead of electrically, like open cans by hand.
5. Use fans instead of air conditioners.
6. In winter, wear a sweater instead of turning up your thermostat.
7. Insulate your home so you won't be cold in winter.
8. Use less hot water.
9. Whenever possible, use a bus or subway, or ride your bike or walk.
10. Try to buy organic fruits and vegetables if you're concerned about pesticides. (Organic food is grown without man-made fertilizers and/or pesticides).
11. Don't waste products made from forest materials.
12. Use recycled paper and/or recycle it. Reuse old papers.
13. Don't buy products that may have been made at the expense of the rainforest.
14. Support products that are harvested from the rainforest but have not cut down trees to get it.
15. Plant trees, espessially if you have cut one down.
16. Get other people to help you in your cause. Make and/or join an organization.
17. Avoid products that are used once, then thrown away.
18. Buy products with little or no packaging.
19. Encourage your grocery store sell environmentally friendly cloth bags for people to use when they shop, or bring your own.
20. REDUCE, REUSE, & RECYCLE.
21. Compost.
22. Buy recycled products.
23. Don't buy pets taken from the wild.
24. If you have a good zoo nearby, (if the animals are healthy and the zoo takes care of them), support it! Espessially if they help breed endangered animals.
25. Don't buy products if animals were killed to make it.
26. Cut up your six-pack rings before throwing them out.

The power point helps to automate the creating of visual aids for lectures, training lessons, sales demonstration, and other presentations. The slides might include photographs, drawings, spreadsheet-style charts, or tables. Some music can be added to attract even more the people who see my power point presentation

 

Plan

Design Specification:

• I will use only 2 types of letter :Verdana and Arial because are the best ones   for the reading in the presentation.
• One slide per minute is about right in a classroom presentation
• The heading will be size 40-44 and the body will be 20-36. This  facilitates better visibility and understanding to the audience
• I will use high-contrast colours because it makes the reading of the text more easily
• I will do the presentation simple but significant to the audience

• I will use images so it is more impacting and animation shames

Post-Assessment  

For evaluate my work I will ask people between 10-15 if they like my work and if they learn something  and too I will ask to the teacher the same thing.

I emailed an organization that are fighting against global warming asking them some question about they ideas about this big problem but they never answer back

Options:

Option 1: in the  FrontPage they will be 3 titles causes effects and solution

This three titles will link to the explanation in this example there is much more writing than pictures that is pkey

Options:

1)

This presentation will be very long but with short writing and a lot of photos . It will not include links to the other section  it will be given all at once.

2)

This presentation It will  include a photo as background  in the cover page so it is more impacting. It will be a short power point presentation but will be very precise it will include photos and some animations. It will be set one slide after the other.

3)

This presentation hyperlinks to the  other sections. It will include a bottom to return to the principal page. As the same at option 2 it will include a background photo in the principal page

 It will be short and precise, it  will include short information and  a lot of photos

Option chooses: I choose option 3 because is the best way of doing present the information I will use a lot of pictures and the most important and shocking information.

Plan: 

• First I am going to look the most important information and pictures   of global warming effect.
• Then I will organize my power point by creating in the fist page the title and  5 hyperlinks: what is global warming? – the green house effect – what are the causes of global warming?- What are the effects?- the solutions.
• In the second page I will explain what  is global warming  
• I will do the same with the 5 hyperlinks but I will explain the information with their theme.
• The letter and size of all the information will be  Arial because is the best for a reading presentation
• It will be short but impacting
• In all I will use animation shames
• I will insert a lot of pictures so it is more effective

Creation

Process journal:

1. I started doing my power point. I began doing the first page with a big title of global warming and in the background a shocking photo  that represents this problems . Then I insert all the subtitles: what is global warming, the green house effect, what are the causes of global warming?, global warming effects and solutions. And insert a hyperlink that takes you to the develop of that subtitles .This took me one period of class because  I was not sure what photo put and the type of letter an colors.The photo I tooked from this page

2. The I began to design the subtitle of what is the global warming? Here I started to explain the main problem with the most important information. This  took me 40 minutes. Then I wanted to put a picture that shocks the reader. This picture I take from this page. The photo I took it from this page:

3. I began to design the page of the subtitle of what is the green house effect? Here I looked for the most important and easy   information so the reader can understand it.

4. I started  with  the other  subtitle what are the causes of global warming? I put the most important information then I looked a picture that explains that causes. The photo I took it from this page:

8)This is the last  slide of the global warming presentation it ends with a short phrase that impacts the audience and makes you think about this big problem that could be worst .This took me 10 minutes

9) Fianaly I added some effects in the power point presentation so  it is more attractive for the audience.

Evaluation : My final project was  like I planned  because it is short and impacting and it has pictures so it is more attractive for the audience and give e a true reality of this issue. Too I think that it has all the necessary information to understand the main problem of global warming and I think this power point will have an effect on the people and will aware them to help the environment. The animations and effects that I used in each slide makes more attractive the power point and it make people to concentrate on the reading. All this things said before it makes the power point look more interesting, nice and attractive if these things are not put on a power point I think it will not have the same effect on people.

To test my power point I did a little survey to some people between 14-50 years old

By doing this survey I realized   that my power point was very effective and that make people aware of this problem and they will help to solve it. Too they thought that the animation were very effective to the power point because it attract and concentrate the audience. Some people complain about the text that was too long and that they weren’t many photos in the power point.

To conclude, I think that my power point was effective because aware people of this big problem  Too I think the power point should have include more photos and less text . But I think that this power point will make people to move and fight against this problem.

Doing this project I felt more enthusiastic for learning more about the global warming problem and make me feel more involved. I will like that all the people that see my power point do something at respect.
