Online gambling

On line gambling is a compulsive addiction and it It is a problem, addiction, that is fuelled by greed, the need to win and the need to feel important. The on line gambler is somewhat superstitious, believes in obtaining winner after winner. The truth is that on line gambling has its price to pay. With on line gambling it requires a mental approach in feeling in charge and in control. Where on line gambling makes a false economy for society. Win, and Win again, here I wish good luck to you. Most people who engage in this form of entertainment or wagering, the gambling itself will eventually get these people licked. On line gambling causes a person to effectively waste money, create bigger financial problems by obtaining debt and the debt increasing. Secondly relationships, marriages, trust are all affected by those that seek to make a profit on sporting and non sporting gambling activity. The Internet was not created, so that you or I start wagering small, large amounts of money on a daily or weekly basis. The operators of on line gambling websites just want mug punters hard earned cash. The odds, the chances of people winning regularly or even occasionally is slim. I am sure if you or I could pick one winner out of the daily sports newspaper. It is so easy to obtain enough finance to fund on line gambling, so easy to open up a on line sports book account. E-commerce - the legal considerations

E-commerce - the legal considerations There are lots of legal considerations and I've tried to include some of the main ones. Although e-commerce can mean a lot of things, here I've related it to actually selling items on a website (although a lot of the legal considerations would need to be considered even if you were not selling on the web. Data protection considerations The Data Protection Act lays down lots of rules that must be adhered to. If this is a website for a company that is already trading and keeps customer data then they should already be registered with the Information Commissioner but you may need to review what's been registered. The main points you need to consider is that for any data you collect on the site you must: * Deal fairly with the info * Tell the customer what data you collect * Tell them what you are going to do with it * Keep it safe and secure This should be set out in the website's terms and conditions (and you should link to it at the main point where you collect the data) Website terms and conditions The site must have comprehensive terms and conditions and you will need to link to these wherever applicable (eg if you are selling there should be a check box that the consumer ticks to say "I have read the terms and conditions etc etc". Things the terms and conditions should contain include: * Data protection act considerations (as

3D - The impact of ICT on the local community Introduction I live in the borough of Waltham Forest. Waltham Forest is quite an advanced community in terms of technology. Technology is used for various things, whether to make them more efficient or to provide a better service. Walthamstow is a small town located within Waltham Forest, which also harbours Leyton and Leytonstone. It is located to the North East of London and bordered to the north by Chingford, to the south by Leyton and Leytonstone, to the east by Epping Forest, to the west by Tottenham and the River Lea valley. Walthamstow is identified by the London plan as one of the 35 major centres in Greater London. Walthamstow's market is one of the longest daily outdoor markets in Europe and dominates the High Street. There are various shops lined along the high street with some high-end chain brands to several individually opened stalls that specialise in food, fabrics, household goods and other such stuff. The Mall in Selborne Walk is the largest place in the area to find lots of different brand shops selling high-end goods manufactured and produced to the mass public via corporations instead of individual businesses. The individual businesses tend to be all located outside on the high street. The central library has also recently been refurbished and modernised. It was expanded from 2006-2007 to hold a wider range

Media Coursework The Daily Mail and The Guardian reported an article in 1999 abut Aliyah Ismail, both had the same information, but reported in different ways. The Guardian which is a broad sheet newspaper set out so that the reader can make there own decision about what the are reading, where as the Daily Mail, a tabloid newspaper sets out to make the reader believe and agree with what they are read. Both have set out in different ways to reach this target. The Daily mail which has three pictures uses them to capturer the image of Aliyah as she was growing up from the age of three to the point of when she died. The third picture of Aliyah's mother who looks very stressed and as if she has been in shock of the death. This picture, which also shows that the parents of aliyah have more to do with the Daily Mail because they share the same opinion unlike The Guardian which wants its readers to decide for themselves, only uses two pictures, one of the place where she died and one of her all alone. The one of her all alone has not been cropped because this shows her all alone with lots of space around her showing her being very defensive almost to the point of her not being where she is but where she is safe, home, because the caption underneath the picture says that she "spent periods abroad with her Jordanian father", she looks like she is waiting. The other is a picture of

The Use of ICT in the Wider World.

AO4 The Use of ICT in the Wider World ICT (Information Computer Technology) is used throughout the world in many different and interesting ways. In fact without ICT the world would not be as it is now. I am going to research the many ways that ICT is used throughout the world. Computers in Shops Not all shops use ICT but the ones that do find every day things such as stock control very quick and easy. * Bar codes are the patterns of thin black lines you find on most products. These bar codes are then scanned by a computer to which will then give the price of the product and this can also be used for stock control. The computer then reduces the recorded stock of the product. And when the stocks fall below a pre-set amount called the 're-order level'. An order for more stock is automatically sent to the shops warehouse or supplier. This type of system will be mainly used in supermarkets. But smaller shops might have a smaller simplified version of this. * Debit payment is where you pay for the items that you have purchased with a debit of credit card instead of cash. The customer will hand over their credit or debit card, it is then swiped, the bank will be contacted, the customer has to sign a receipt to verify that it is their card and the money will be deducted from their bank account. Or in the case of a credit card it will be added to their account ready for them to

The graph to the left shows UK internet retail sales, as you can see between April 2000 and December 2002 the online retail market value has seen a sharp increase. There are many reasons for this, firstly that internet shopping is a lot safer then it was ten years ago, sites such as PayPal make online shoppers feel safer as you only give out your card details to one company and they act as a 'middle man' between you and the seller. In addition sales have increased due to more people that want to shop online because in most cases there is more choice of
