Evalution of my database

________________ Table of Contents Evaluation of the performance of my database Feedback from others Evaluation of my performance during the whole unit Feedback from others Effectiveness o the database as a whole and own performance in the unit How would you improve your database ________________ Evaluation of the performance of my database For my database assignment I used certain Properties for example I used field types and field sizes very well in my work because I changed the size of the field to fit the right amount of data in and also field types is where I choose what sort of data will be entered into my database (etc... Text, Number, and Currency) if these changes were not made my data would have given false data. These were very easy to do as I simply had to use my instinct to know what field size and field types were accurate. Some of my fields didn’t really have to have a certain field size but I chose to put one in as for the field types it was advised for me to put them in as my data would have been entered incorrectly. It is easy to extract useful information from my database because you can easily read the information and the field are named accurately. It is simply to find certain information because there are ways you can use the database to find these information it makes it easier for the

The purpose of the management report is to explain how important communication technologies are within an organisation

2.0 Management Report – Introduction Unit 1 ________________ The purpose of the management report is to explain how important communication technologies are within an organisation. ICT is an extremely useful way to communicate to all members of staff and extremely useful to pass information throughout a business. Information and communication is extremely in all organisations because communication allows management to talk to staff throughout all the levels of the organisation e.g. strategic, tactical and operational. Allowing this to happen could help make the company run more efficiently by all the employees communicating more and confirmation on tasks work run smother. Communication in an organisation means it would run more efficiently as everyone knows what task to complete. In an organisation information serves as the key to success, in an organisation if there was no information the staff wouldn’t know when they get off for holidays or what there certain tasks are for the day. Without information is an organisation it would fall apart as the staff wouldn’t know of what projects or task are needed to be completed, information helps it to be more efficient and run smoothly. Technology- Private or Public? Technology has blurred the lines between what is private and what is public information.

Sibori Gabriela Sibori Mrs. Brown Per. 3 5/9/12 Technology has blurred the lines between what is private and what is public information. In many areas of the United States today, The FBI is now admittedly recording Internet talk radio programs all over the United States. If you call a radio talk show and get on the air, you might be recorded by the FBI. According to a 2011 article by Bradley Gross “The FBI has awarded a $524,927 contract to a Virginia company to record as much radio news and talk programming as it can find on the Internet.” Over the years, our society’s dependency on technology has unquestionably increased. Technology has gone too far. Most search engines save all searches and can track it back to address. People should be able to look up information without having to compromise their privacy in any way. None of their personal information should be collected or shared in any way when searching. When you search for something private, you are sharing that private search not only with your search engine, but also with all the sites that you clicked on (for that search). Also many search engines actively use this information, for example to show you more targeted advertising. Phones can be tracked or tapped in to. According to a recent article by Jason Welch (2011) “Cell phones are easily tapped by anyone who purchases and downloads software from

ITGS Mod and Open Source Essay - Counter Strike game and Gimp photo editing.

Timothy NP Situmeang 0 October 2012 Mr Glenn ITGS SL ITGS Mod and Open Source Essay On the year 2000, the game counter strike was first launched. Counter strike is a tactical first-person shooting video game which is a modified version from Half life. The game counterstrike is more known than half life because it’s popularity in online gaming, before the existence of Point Blank or Call of Duty. Minh Le and Jess Cliffe created Counter strike the valve corporation then bought the rights because of its popularity. The first Counter strike is called Condition zero, Source and the latest version which was just released is Global Offensive. As a modified game from half life the difference between half life and counter strike is that in counter strike the game is separated into two sides, terrorist and counter terrorist unlike half life where you are a character. Each team will have different missions, for the terrorist their mission is to plant the bomb while for counter terrorist their mission is to deactivate the bomb, the team can also win by eliminating other players. The game contains different maps, and more available to download. Some people would say playing counter strike is more challenging than Call of Duty and Battlefield. The difference with this is that in counter strike, when you die, you die. You have to wait for the next round to play again. That is why in

Using the Internet to research UFOs.

Online Communities The Internet...the most exciting, mysterious and phenomenal form of communication to date. It allows people to enter a world where they can explore far off places they would not dare to venture into in the tangible world. It gives people the opportunity to communicate with other human beings from all over the world using nothing but a keyboard. It is an information highway, a place where research can be gathered on any topic capable of entering into the imagination. My exposure to the world of Cyberspace began six years ago when I entered college at California State University, Chico. I obtained a school-based e-mail account. In addition to writing to friends at other colleges, I was able to chat with other people on campus using a "talk" command. Throughout my two-year experience at Chico, I never ventured far out of the school-based e-mail system and never once went surfing on the "net." It wasn’t until I transferred to California State University, Northridge that I began my exploration of the Internet. Since I was commuting from home where I had a computer with no modem, it was at the school library where I did my e-mail. It was on these library computers that I became familiar with the Internet. I was now exposed to a whole new aspect of being online. I began using the Internet to research topics for both papers and recreation. In fact, when I

Title: A Relational Database system to assist the stock control operation of Rai's Newsagents. .1 Keywords: The keyboards from the title are; Database, Stock Control and Newsagents. 2 Problem definition: 2.1 The problem is that the shop owner does not know the quantities and value of the stock on the selves and in the storeroom. As a result of this the owner does not have the accurate numbers of how much stock is needed. This results in the owner (Mr Khan) running out of stock and other items when he could have sold more if he had more. 2.1.1. When making an order to the wholesalers Mr Khan has to phone and make the orders manually. This sometimes takes a lot of time and can result in wrong orders or the wrong stock being ordered. Mr Khan has then got to send the incorrect stock back to the wholesalers and wait longer for the correct stock. This can cause losing valuable customers as they may have orders for certain items, which they have especially reserved. 3 Aims: * To produce a relational database which will be able to order stock for Mr Khan and in the correct numbers. * To reduce the cost in returning over-stocked items back to the supplier. * Provide a means of protecting confidential data through a security feature. For Example, Passwords. 4 Objectives: * To research user requirements and background knowledge of newsagent businesses in order to create
