They are always looking for new ways in which they can achieve this. One of their main objectives is to reduce costs to airlines. They could achieve this by incorporating new leisure facilities into the airport, e.g. cinema and bowling alley. This could help them achieve the objective as they would be making profit from the new facilities and so could lower the rent prices to the airlines, this could also help because more airlines would want to set up in Manchester airport due to lower renting cost, so the airport will have more customers, however the airport would have to spend money on building/creating space to build the new facilities. This would mean that the airport would loose money until the facilities have been built and are running and are making sufficient profits. As this would mean money loss, the airport could find another way of making money as it is being built. They could charge retailer more, this would mean taking a higher percentage of the retailer's profits. Seven Ages of Man By William Shakespeare. Seven Ages of man is a poem written by William Shakespeare. It's actually a speech given by one of his characters named Jacques in his play As You Like it. Jacques is a pessimistic character who the poet uses to portray the life of a man in seven different parts. The first line of the poem "All the worlds a stage is a metaphor in which the world is associated with a stage. It is also the central metaphor around which the entire poem revolves. The next few lines also use similar terminology related to theatre. The word "All" in the first line establishes universality and we are told that men everywhere go through the same phases of life. The next line "...Just like actors, men and women in this world are not free to do as they will and are directed and controlled by their destiny. And just like actors in a play, the people make their appearances and go away i.e. they are born into this world and die. Because Jacques looks more towards the negative, he mentions death as in "exit" first and then birth or "entrance". This is because he looks at life's negativities closely. Tennesse Williams is a brilliant playwright. He is the author of numerous well-known and excellent plays and his mastery of symbolism is obvious in the way he uses it to convey significant situations and qualities in his main characters. In A Streetcar Named Desire, two of his main characters, Blanche and Stanley, have conflicting personalities and it is in this particular play that his skill in the use of symbolism is most evident as he uses it to depict the relationship between the two, using many relevant symbols. In so doing, he manages to clearly identify to his audience what is at risk in the battle between Blanche and Stanley. This raises questions like who will win, how will he or she win and what will result from this victory or loss as the case may be. The imagery, which best describes the relationship between Blanche and Stanley is that of "the moth versus light", with Blanche being the moth and Stanley being the light. Section 2 - Marketing To make a successful business we needed to complete a number of marketing tasks to research into price, place and promotion. The marketing director was Charlie, who with help from the team researched thoroughly into each of these three subjects. At first the group's idea for a business was to make magnets and sell them in school. Many other ideas were considered, including a football tournament, fair games in the hall and other plans. We were aiming at the target market of lower school, as we were going to sell the magnets on the premises. We thought that the younger students would prefer the product than the older ones, and so needed to plan the product to attract their attention. Also, our market research showed there was more females than males interested, shown in the chart. We decided upon this idea for a number of reasons, including that we could not get permission to use the hall for other events. Furthermore, magnets would be a lot cheaper to make - consequently we could hopefully make more money. We conducted a small amount of primary and secondary research, but probably should have completed more, although the research we used was relatively useful to help us target the product. Date of Visit: 16th October 2006 Length of Visit: 2 hours and 40 minutes Place: Park People Present: Sam, Me Aim of Visit-Plan Today I am going to take Sam to the park, which is only about a 10 minute walk from her house. By doing this I should hopefully very easily be able to observe her gross motor skills as there will be a lot of apparatus there for her to play on that will enable her to use the large muscles in her body e.g-climbing frame etc. Whilst at the park I have also planned to play 'Simon says' with her by playing this game I will be able to observe some of her intellectual skills by seeing how she responds to instructions. Observations When Sam found out that we were going to the park she got really excited. As soon as we got there she immediately ran over to the swings and she needed me to start her off on the swing by pushing her once and then she used her legs to make her keep moving. After about two or three minutes she wanted to get off the swing and she asked me to get her off because the swing was a little bit high as her feet didn't touch the floor when she sat on it. She then wanted to go on the slide and ran straight over to it. When she was climbing up the ladder to the slide, another little girl came over to the slide and started climbing up the ladder iswell behind Sam (She looked younger than Sam and I don't think she was above 2 years old).

Was Nicholas II responsible for his own downfall? Nicholas II acted as an autocratic monarch rather than a constitutional leader, and this was a factor in his eventual downfall and abdication. Other factors included, him leaving Russia in the incapable hand of his wife, Alexandra, who herself was greatly influenced by Rasputin. The 'Holy Man' Rasputin was becoming more and more popular with Alexandra for helping their only son, Alexis's with his haemophilia, and his strange but powerful brand of spirituality certainly affected both Alexandra and Nicholas. It could be argued that Nicholas was himself responsible for allowing the power of Rasputin to extend so far and to influence his political decisions. It has opened up many opportunities that would have never happened in the pre-internet era. 48,750,000 people have access to the internet in the United Kingdom. As this number grows so do the endless opportunities that will occur. In this argument I intend to explain to you why the majority of people agree that internet is the best invention in the world. Before the internet, talking to friends meant that you had to either meet up with them or call them. Letters that you sent could take weeks to arrive to other countries and talking to family in other parts of the world was expensive or even impossible. Now, however with the invention of the World Wide Web, the world has become smaller and easier to navigate. Family and friends can instantly talk to each other on Msn or through other services like Skype, a video calling network that is most importantly instant and free. Letters can be sent via email in a matter of seconds to people in other countries. You can arrange things in minutes without physically talking to people. You can share memories on social networking sites with family and friends who are in other countries, for example, weddings that families and friends haven't been able to attend. Marble Chips and Hydrochloric Acid PLANNING AIM To find if changing the concentration of an acid will increase or decrease the rate of the reaction when marble is dissolved in hydrochloric acid. With the equation CaCO3 + 2HCl CaCl2 +H2O + CO2 HYPOTHESES A reaction occurs when particles collide. This process is based on random particle movement. So therefore, the more particles you have in a space, the more likely they are to collide. Therefore making the reaction accelerate. This theory can be proved if you compare the rates of reaction with marble in hydrochloric acid. 'If the acid is of a higher concentration, the reaction will be quicker.' Also if the particles have more energy, they will be travelling faster, making them collide more frequently. PREDICTION When the concentration of acid increases, more gas will be given off faster. I know this from my trial experiments. METHOD Since I will be working with strong acid, I will wear safety goggles while conducting the experiment. I will use Marble chips all of a small size. I can use a sieve to make sure they are all roughly similar size- about 7mm diameter. The amount of acid I have decided on is 10ml. And so the amount of marble must be in excess - 3g. Les Vacances d'ete L'ete dernier, je viens de passer des vacances ideales en Espagne. J'ai pris l'avion depuis Heathrow et quatre heures plus tard, j'etais dans le centre de Madrid. J'ai voyage en avion parce que c'est tres rapide mais il n'y a pas beaucoup de place et ce n'est pas comfortable. Ce n'etait pas du tout ennuyeux parce que nous avons mange et bu dans l'avion et nous avons regarde des films. Apres etre arrivee dans le centre de Madrid, je suis tout de suite allee visiter la plage d'ou j'ai eu une vue magnifique. C'etait tres agreable. Il faisait toujours du soleil, donc, nous nous sommes bronzes dans la plage, mais il y avait beaucoup de personnes, donc mon pere etait tres fache. Avant de visiter ma famille dans le sud de Madrid, nous sommes restes dans L'hotel de luxe. Il y avait un grand restaurant et les chambres etaient tres pratiques avec la salle de bains et le mini-bar. Pendant mes cinq jour en Espagne, j'ai aussi achete beaucoup de cadeaux pour mes copines.
