Venom Life was a fairytale, until I woke up from it all The night embracing me keeping me up when I needed to fall, Swailing misery, escaping me, taking my last breath, This pain wont seem to leave, mocking me for every last word I said. Despair envisions me and ideas form, and the clouds wont go away I'm stuck in an endless night with no hope in ever finding a day Venom encased in shadows and shadows embraced by gold, Gold is not just perfection but somehow that is what everyone is told, Hesitation causes corruption and corruption causes the seize The seize is lost, gone and hollow and it spreads fear through out the breeze What lies ahead what lies behind, I know no what nor how nor why But somehow I know what leads me hear , what fuels me on what brings me tears, But now I know I need to take time out and grow and fight back For I long for the light and no longer embrace the black I am the chosen the Moses sent to clarify your dreams, I shall part these waters clearing a path for all to see, And all the remains and all the hearts shall come pouring out to find What engages you and why you keep the world left behind.

Dear Sir, My name is Anna and I am currently a year 10 student at Trevor high school. Having achieved 6 A* grades and 4A grades at GCSE, I hope to study for a law degree at university, with the intention of becoming a solicitor/barrister. I feel it would be invaluable for me to gain experience and further knowledge of the legal world by carrying out a work placement, ideally in October, and was wondering if it would be possible to carry out such a placement at your firm. I would be available between 3-6 pm. My hobbies include playing rugby, cycling and reading; "The Justice Game" by Geoffrey Robertson fascinated me and I decided that I should gain some work experience to confirm that it is the career for me. I also enjoy working on the school magazine, and it has showed me the importance of commitment, and punctuality, characteristics that I would bring to your firm. I am a confident person, and hope to take an active role in the debating society when it gets underway later this year. I appreciate that this is short notice, but would be extremely grateful for any amount of time you would be able to have me for, and I would be prepared to work within any aspect of the law. Yours faithfully,

Craig Maggs 11aw THE WAITING ROOM It was a dark gloomy, wet day, I was on my way to the dentist surgery in my dads' car, and the rain was beating down like a million bombs exploding on the window. We pulled up at the dentist surgery my stomach fluttered it felt like a volcano ready to erupt in my stomach. I walked into the waiting room and the aroma of antiseptic smell mixed with bleach gripped my nostrils. I sat in the waiting room with a colossal table in the middle full of dental magazines. In the glass cupboard there was toothpaste and toothbrushes on offer. It was a dim room with just two measly lights on the wall, that didn't make me feel any better. The dark, dull wallpaper was really starting to alarm me, I knew the surgeon was coming to get me soon. The people around me was unusual all I could take notice of was babies screaming gradually getting louder and louder, the man next to me who had a really giant build a really big nose, there also wasn't a nice sense of smell coming from him. I heard footsteps coming from reception the receptionist comes to the door, I was praying she wouldn't say my

Creative poetry - Still Beautiful.

Carly Swannell Creative Writing Still Beautiful Flesh torn away from bone. That's how much it hurts, To see you wasting away, Watching this happen to you. Tell me am I still beautiful? It's all you can utter to me, The only thing you care about. Through all of life's trials, You've still retained your vanity. So am I still beautiful? I have to look away from you, Your ravaged body so tragic, If only you'd been happy before, Realised you were beautiful then. Look at me, am I still beautiful? And so I look again, Past your delicate bony body. In through your bloodshot eyes, The windows of your heart and soul. Can you see if I'm still beautiful? Within I can see who you were, So happy and still there after all, And I can see who you are, You're buried deep within. I need to know if I'm still beautiful. You were so perfectly pure, Underneath it all you always are. So I can smile at you and say, Yes, I can see you're still beautiful. You're still beautiful

Near to the door he paused to stand as he took his class ring off her hand all who were watching did not speak as a silent tear ran down his cheek and through his mind the memories ran of the moments they walked * and ran in the sand hand and hand)* but now her eyes were so terribly cold for he would never again have her to hold they watched in silence as he bent near and whispered the words..*.... "I LOVE YOU" in her ear he touched her face and started to cry as he put on his ring and wanted to die and just then the wind began to blow as they lowered her casket into the snow.... this is what happens to man alive..... when friends let friends.... drink and

Poem - I stepped out onto the field Hope and fear pumping inside me

Jad Shakhashir English 10 G 08/03/11 I stepped out onto the field Hope and fear pumping inside me. Me and me ten teammates, Walk out trough the main gate. When the match starts, I can no longer feel my heart. I am as scared as a chicken Because I want to be winning As I take the shot, I hope I’m going to score. The crowd screams with joy To the goal form that boy. Knowing we’ve won the trophy, It was really crazy. It was the best feeling ever, as I’ll be remembered forever. Oxymoron: Hope and Fear Simile: scared as a chicken Hyperbole: best feeling
