I have and I have found that plastics are very harmful to the environment, even though they are very useful to carry things around. You must be wondering how just a plastic bag, can be so detrimental to the environment. Allow me to tell you how. Plastic bags are cheap and are light in weight. They are also water and chemical resistant and require less energy in manufacture.1 These are the advantages of using plastic bags, but above all these benefits they are still very harmful to the environment! 2009 UE Section B Q.2 Dear Editor, Noticing the trickles of extravagant weddings sta+ged by movie stars in recent years, I cannot help suspiring how millions of dollars could have been better spent instead of being squandered on events that could have been just as beautiful and memorable if the budget was cut half. I am therefore writing this letter to express my serious concern over the despicable behaviour of these public figures who clearly have little idea of what it really takes to have an unforgettable wedding. It is not exactly inconceivable why movie stars tend to spend profusely - that they wish to garner media attention and show off their wealth and affluence to the world. But as often as we learn of star wedding news, equally frequently are we aware that they divorce a few years - or more outrageously a few months - after marriage. I have to say I am surprised at how marriage could be as disrespected as such. I am doubly surprised at how forgetful these people are, obviously having no memory of their vows and commitments on their lavish wedding day. 'In Multicultural Britain, people from different cultures should not try to live separate lives.' Many people from all over the world have been coming to Britain for over 2,000 years. This long history of immigration has made Britain a very diverse and culturally rich country. Examples of this are evident in fashion, food and language. About 8% of the British population is made up of different ethnic groups; this is approximately 4.6 million people. This essay will be addressing whether people from different cultures should try to live separately or not. People from different cultures should not try to live separate lives as this could lead to racial segregation, misunderstanding and conflict among societies. Those who live in 'parallel communities' are only in contact with their own culture and 'kind' and so live separate lives to others in the surrounding areas. Traffic Wardens:. The first thing that I would out into room 101 is the money grabbing, cold-hearted, kill joy mugs. These people walk around, head down, scribbling away in their nasty little books, feeling proud of ruining yet another innocent person's day. While wealthy individuals are relishing in a lavish life of luxury, millions are being forced to endure an insufferable daily reality of poverty, conflict and lack of food. Children All Over the Country Have Been Fooled Into Thinking Poetry is Dangerous That's right. A simple poem has been slashed out of the AQA Anthology. Why I hear you ask, well simply because it was too violent. That's right a poem being violent. I have decided to put this issue on my hit list and resolve it once and for all. Mrs Schofield who is an invigilator at Lutterworth Grammar school in Leicestershire, Sparked this mammoth of an argument, she decided to complain to the AQA exam board. The AQA exam board drastically removed the poem from all anthologies across England. The exam board were advising schools to destroy the books so they are not read by students. This issue is extremely important and it has still not been solved, there are still many forums on the internet discussing these issues. The main audience I believe is teachers and student's because it directly affects them, as they are studying or teaching this kind of material day in and day out. The poem is about a mentally disturbed person who kills their animals, calls up a radio show claiming that he could have been a "star."
