Unit 17. Provide an explanation of three different international approaches to learning.

CACHE DCCE UNIT 17 09/621764 306.000 Andrea Maria Fernandes [INTERNATIONAL APPROACHES TOWARDS CHILDREN'S EDUCATION ] International approaches towards children's education. E1. Provide an explanation of three different international approaches to learning. Friedrich Froebel Friedrich Froebel was born in Germany in 1782-1852. Frobel believed that children should be able to access indoor and outdoor play freely "An outdoor environment is vital to children's learning" (Tassoni.P, 2007. p280) this is because he said that children need to have stimulation to move on to the next stages of development. In practice today child centred approach is used which Frobel theory covers. Froebel also believed that children learned at a higher level through imaginative play. In addition Froebel believed that parents are a child's first educators of a child's life. This is when the child is at an early age and the parents become their educator by teaching them how to stand, talk, walk, and hold objects and to communicate. This is why in setting today they try and make is a family settings. Maria Montessori Maria Montessori was a doctor who graduated in Italy at the top of her class. Despite being ill treated because she was the only female in her class, she passed the course and became the first female doctor in Italy 1896. She believed that children under the age of 6 seemed to

PROMOTING HEALTH. P1: explain three different approaches to health education. P2: explain two models of behaviour changes that have been used in recent national health education campaigns. M1: compare three different approaches to health education.

P1: explain three different approaches to health education. P2: explain two models of behaviour changes that have been used in recent national health education campaigns. M1: compare three different approaches to health education. Introduction Health education authorities use different approaches to promote health education. They use different ways such as social marketing like posters on busses and the marketing is based on the focusing on what people need help with and how to help them to stop their habits and also to help them know about the risks that they are putting themselves, in order to promote the health education criteria the authorities joined forces with big organisation like big super market managers and use the media networks in order to be able to pass information to the public of the illness and harm that can be caused and the risks that they can prevent by keeping safe and introducing a safer way of prevention. And indeed for all these to be possible the authorities needed the support of the public and so they use social-economic to get the public involved and participate in the promotion of a local organisation and network for them but only by attaining the right training. However I will only be explaining three different approaches to Health Education-: Change 4 Life, Jaime Oliver's school dinners and NHS. P1: Change 4 life-: Eat well-Move more-live

Health And Social Care Coursework

Group Interaction Work Context My Group interaction consisted of me being put in place of someone in the medical profession talking to a group of people about recent treatments/illnesses. I chose to speak to a group of children in their playroom in a nursery. My interaction took place in a playroom which held many different barriers for me to think about and plan before my interaction took place. I laid the furniture that was available to avoid as many barriers as I could. Also having a range of ages in my group would need to be considered because some would have longer attention spans than others. I laid out the playroom as shown in the diagram below. I wanted to set out so I catered for all ages ranging from 3-7. I only wanted to keep the children there for 5 minutes because of their differing attention spans. As my diagram indicates I set out the playroom very carefully. I laid it out in this way for many of the same reasons as for my one to one. Refer back to my one to one for those reasons. In addition I asked the children where they would like to sit, at the table or on the pillows. They said they wanted to sit at the pillows. This is an example of empowerment because the children can control their own situations and control what choices they make. I also chose to sit on a pillow as well rather than a chair so I was at their level. If I was in a chair it would show a

Explain possible priorities and responses when dealing with two particular incidents or emergencies in a health or social care setting.

P4: Explain possible priorities and responses when dealing with two particular incidents or emergencies in a health or social care setting. There are many incidents and emergencies that can occur in a health and social care setting regardless of how careful an organisation is and how many precautions they take. The health care setting I will be talking about is a hospital, and the priorities and responses that should take place when dealing with incidents and emergencies within it. Priorities are steps that need to be taken in the case of an emergency or incident that are considered more important over other plan of actions. A response is what action is taken after the emergency or incident in order to prevent it from recurring or minimising the risk and likelihood of it happening again. I will be discussing the three most important priorities and the response that follows in the case of a possible emergency or incident in a hospital. An emergency can be defined as a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action. There are many examples of emergencies that can take place in a hospital setting, some include the following. fire; spillage of chemicals; spreading of infections; intruders. I will be talking about two of these emergencies in more detail. A fire, can cause sudden panic as it is an unpredictable event. There are certain priorities

Life stages . Aging - In this assignment I am going to assess the influence of the activity theory and the disengagement theory on social care provision.

K, Development through the life stages, D2, Aging Ageing D2 ________________ In this assignment I am going to assess the influence of the activity theory and the disengagement theory on social care provision. There are many different services that are available in health and social care such as, Residential homes, bus passes, home help and day centres. All these services are put in place to help and support the older people. Residential homes offer somewhere to stay, help with dressing and bathing. They also provide meals. If a person cannot afford to live in their own property a residential home provides them security. Support in residential homes are available all through the day and the night. They support emotional and physical needs of the elderly. Bus passes are made available to the elderly so that they can travel and get about without fretting about money. Older people are offered this service because the money they get each week (pension) is probably just enough for their living for example to buy food, clothes and bills. Home help is way of offering support and care to vulnerable people to support them so they can stay in their own homes and live independently for as long as they can. This kind of help includes help with washing, cleaning, and dressing. Additionally helping to cook, giving medication and helping with the shopping. The carers will talk to the

Discuss discriminatory practice within health and social care

Charliee Nicholls Unit 2 Task 2 P2 P3 M1 Equality, diversity and rights Barry Barnhurst In this assignment I will be describing the discriminatory practice that may occur within health and social care and the potential effects of discriminatory practices on service users. I will also be assessing the effects of 3 different discriminatory practices on service users and the impact that this can have on them. Infringement of rights is when you do not respect somebody’s individual rights. For example if somebody is of a particular religion or culture and has to pray at a certain time of the day and you do not allow them to carry this out, then you are infringing somebody’s rights. As a health and social care professional you need to be aware of these rights and ensure that you do not take them away from somebody. This can lead to an individual feeling devalued which can have big effects on their health, confidence and self-esteem. Covert abuse of power- This is when a health and social care professional uses their power to discriminate against someone. This could include treating someone differently to someone else. Covert abuse of power means that someone abuses their power in a manner which does not draw direct attention to them or the practice itself. It is a means of undermining anti-discriminatory policies through the use of secretive forms of discrimination. If
